Greetings HeroClix Fans!

Welcome back to your Clix fix as we preview more exciting figures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix: Shredder’s Return set!  This third Gravity Feed set adds even more characters from the 32-years of TMNT history, based on both the comics and animated tv series.  Today we have a first look at one of the villainous chase figures, Mini Shredder!

HeroClix | TMNT HeroClix: Shredder's Return - Mini Shredder

This tiny villain is ready to be a big part of your team! As a member of the Shredder Elite, his trait of the same name is shared among his Shredder Elite teammates. The trait allows Mini Shredder to use Sidestep, and after any move he deals 1 penetrating damage to each adjacent opposing character that he wasn’t adjacent to at the beginning of the move. This trait will be aided by his special speed power, Where’d He Go? which allows Mini Shredder to use Plasticity and Stealth. Plasticity will be especially useful in conjunction with the Shredder Elite trait, to help Mini Shredder breakaway for a Sidestep – he can choose to move adjacent to a different opposing character, or get away so he won’t be adjacent at the beginning of the next turn and can deal the 1 penetrating damage to the target he broke away from after another Sidestep.

This little mutated monster also has plenty of regular attacking power, starting with Precision Strike to crack even the toughest turtle shells and Empower to give his teammates a boost in close attack damage.

Late in his dial, Mini Shredder instead has Smoke Cloud which is self-useful combined with his Stealth, while he also possesses Exploit Weakness for more penetrating pain from the little guy.

Defensively we have Toughness on the top three clicks bolstered by a daunting 18 defense value on top click, and Mini Shredder has four clicks of Combat Reflexes on his last four clicks to keep him safe right where you want him in close combat.

Mini Shredder begs to play nice with larger associates in the Foot Clan or Shredder Elite using any of his thematic keywords: Foot Clan, TMNT Villain, Monster, and Warrior. Possessing the Tiny symbol lets Mini Shredder’s larger teammates carry him around for free to get the most out of Empower, while Indomitable lets him keep attacking (or moving next to someone for the Shredder Elite trait) without pushing damage.

We can’t forget about Mini Shredder’s other trait, Mystical Worms, which will return Mini Shredder to the map on click #4 the first time he would be KO’d in each game. This “resurrection” contains a stipulation that lets your opponent place Mini Shredder adjacent to one of their characters – lucky for you that’s exactly where you want him!

That wraps it up for today.  Stay tuned for more of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix:  Shredder’s Return Gravity Feed. Visit your FLGS this Wednesday for the exciting release!  Until next time, give ‘em shell!
