Even if you’re not a genius regent of the most technologically advanced nation on Earth, you’ll still be able to see why this HeroClix set is awesome!

Black Panther has featured prominently in previous HeroClix sets, but never before has HeroClix featured so many team-building options, references to his best stories, or opportunities to clash with his greatest foes. T’Challa has been many things–Avenger, scientist, warrior, ruler, lover, and leader. As players dive into this HeroClix release, they’ll get to see nearly every aspect of the King of Wakanda that they’ve enjoyed throughout countless pages of comic action and multiple films. With more than 60 figures to collect, the density of the Wakanda keyword in this set is unprecedented.

For Retailers

Selected stores will need to schedule their Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther Pre-Release Event using the Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther Pre-Release template in the WizKids Info Network (WIN) (see “Important Dates for Stores” tab below).

As a participant in the program, you will register your store and your events in our database using a simple browser-based interface. The information you provide will populate our event locator that will direct visitors of http://win.wizkids.com to your store to participate in the Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther Pre-Release Event.

NOTE: Only stores selected to participate in the Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther Pre-Release will have access to the official Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther template.

For Players

Use the WizKids Info Network to connect with stores and other players worldwide and find events in your area or while you’re on the road. As a registered HeroClix player, you will also be able to keep abreast of new releases and events in your area as they become available.

Product Details:

-Each Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther Booster Brick contains ten (10) 5-figure booster packs.

Tournament Size:

Each store selected will be able to purchase 1 case or 2 cases of the Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther booster bricks — each case will support up to 20 players.

  • Stores receiving 2 Cases will be capped at 40 players.
  • Stores receiving 1 Case will be capped at 20 players.

NOTE: Stores receiving 2 Cases may opt to run two separate events—however, each event will be capped at 20 players and stores must schedule & report both events in the WizKids Info Network.

Tournament Structure:

Pre-release events may be run as a Swiss Tournament or Battle Royales.

Force Construction: DRAFT

Drafting Instructions: Players open their boosters and draft a team of 5 figures from the boosters— for the purpose of drafting, seat all players in groups of 4. Before drafting the opened booster, each player sets aside the object or construct from their booster to use on their force. For objects, they may be assigned for free to any character. For constructs, they may be included on the starting force as a 0-point bystander and this game they do not use their Construct ability.

Each player chooses one figure out of their first booster and each booster passed to them until all players have drafted a team of 5 figures.  Players play all 5 figures as their team.

Action Limit: The action limit for the tournament is 1 action per 100 points of drafted team with the lowest team build total— EXAMPLES:

  • If the player with the lowest team build total has a 275 point team, the tournament is run as 2 actions per player.
  • If the player with the lowest team build total has a 315 point team, the tournament is run as 3 actions per player.

Due to shipping delays, the release date of Black Panther has shifted to 10/30/2024.
To get product into the majority of players’ hands, we recommend that stores consolidate their Pre-Release Events and Release Day events into one. As a result, there will be no designated Pre-Release window for Black Panther.
All Marvel HeroClix: Black Panther products may be sold normally beginning on October 30th, 2024.
Note: Stores outside of the United States should check with their distributor for the most accurate information about product availability.
