Greetings HeroClix fans, and welcome to another exciting preview from the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix Set! Today, we’re going to be looking at one of the signature villains from the classic 1980’s cartoon, the talking brain inside an android body, Dimension X invader, Krang!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix- Krang

At 170 points, Krang is an Indomitable android menace, with 8 clicks of life, and a natural range of 5 squares with 1 target. He’s also able to break through defenses without having to utilize Perplex or Outwit on each click of life – meaning Krang can hit hard and leave a lasting impact on the Turtles and their allies!

As we look into his dial, we need to start with Krang’s trait, Molecular Amplification Chip, which allows Krang to be given Giant Size, as well as modifying all his combat values by +1 until your next turn as a free action. That’s a pretty huge reward – but it comes with a trade-off, if you choose to activate this power you’ll have to deal Krang 1 unavoidable damage at the end of your turn. If you need to go even bigger, you may instead give him Colossal Size, as well as modifying his combat values by +2 until your next turn as a free action – however, doing this results in Krang being dealt 2 unavoidable damage at the end of your turn. Regardless of which you choose, you may only activate one of these powers on your turn.

From a standard power perspective, Krang comes loaded, possessing Charge, Running Shot, Sidestep, Plasticity, Poison, Impervious, Invulnerability, Toughness, and Probability Control. He also has two special powers, the first of which appears on his attack powers, called Shapeshifting Hands. This power states that you may give Krang a free action to choose a standard attack power, or the Flight ability – and this power or symbol is yours to utilize until you choose again or lose the power! Finally, on damage is the special power IQ of 968 – Until He Gets Mad. This power states that Krang can use both Outwit and Probability Control – and, as an added bonus, none of Krang’s powers can be countered by a character on an equal or higher click number!

Krang, as he should be, is a force of nature, and even with his relatively high cost at 170 points, he still leaves plenty of room for more members of your force to fight the Turtles. Be sure to join us next time, as we look deeper into the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix set! Until then, don’t be afraid to push!
