Dungeons & Dragons Githyanki Premium Statue

Since winning their freedom from the mind flayers, the githyanki have become corrupt raiders and destroyers under the rulership of their dread lich-queen, Vlaakith. They dwell on the Astral Plane in the city of Tu’narath, a metropolis built on and in the corpse of a deity. This 12″ statue is inspired by the iconic Githyanki featured on the cover of the classic 1st edition Dungeons & Dragons book, Fiend Folio.

Detailed Assembly and Troubleshooting Instructions

Lower the Githyanki statue straight onto the base. Do not attempt to completely insert the right foot before guiding the metal pin extending from the left foot into the corresponding hole. If the stance of the legs seems too wide to fit, do not apply force to a single leg. Place your hand around both legs and apply light squeezing pressure to slightly flex both legs inward simultaneously. Be careful not to exert too much pressure on delicate points like the knees; if a small amount of squeezing pressure to bring the legs inward does not seem sufficient, do not force them. Use a standard household hairdryer on the high setting to heat the legs for a few minutes, alternating between each leg to heat them evenly; this will grant the resin additional flexibility and reduce the risk of breaking.

Insert the sword into the hole in the Githyanki’s fist. The peg on the sword is shaped to only insert correctly in one direction; be sure to insert the sword with the dark side of the blade facing up. If the fit seems very tight, gently use sandpaper or a file on the sword peg. Test the fit often to avoid over-sanding. If the sword connection is too loose, the fit can be tightened by brushing a small amount of super glue to the sword peg and the hand hole and allowing them to dry. Repeat as necessary to thicken the connection, do not assemble the pieces while the glue is wet unless you want the connection to be permanent.
