Junior Graphic Designer at WizKids

Internationally recognized tabletop gaming company is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to help support our busy team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented entry level Graphic Designer to get real, hands-on experience in a career setting. The Junior Graphic Designer will have the opportunity to learn from an established team in a fast-paced environment, while in the process, becoming more familiar with what it takes to create, bring to market, and support licensed and non-licensed games.

Exposure to confidential information may occur in the course of normal work, so ALL EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN A NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT.

Responsibilities

  • Design of print creative used for product packaging.
  • Creating new logos and icons for products.
  • Design of web graphics and other online materials.
  • Assisting the marketing department by creating print materials for events (e.g. banners, booth graphics, print ads and more).
  • Other duties as requested.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Local candidates only.
  • Must be available to work on site in our Cary, NC office (no compensation for relocation).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design preferred.
  • Entry to intermediate graphic design skills utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and desktop publishing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Keynote.
  • Strong in digital file organization.
  • Proactive about responsibilities and approaches them with a great attention to detail.
  • Need to be able to maintain cohesive themes for boardgames and other products so everything feels like it goes together.
  • Fluent in print with understanding of bleed, margins and safe area.
  • Some illustration abilities are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Understand and have experience designing for digital.
  • The ideal candidate will also have a passion for pop culture, including comic books and gaming.
  • Any video editing experience is a plus.
  • Possesses 2+ years of experience in graphic design.
  • Use of good judgment and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
