The Decision is Both Mutual and Amicable
Hillside, NJ– June 5, 2023
Zev Shlasinger, Director of Board Game Development, will be departing WizKids after seven years of service. WizKids and Mr. Shlasinger came to terms on a mutual and amicable parting of ways.
“I would like to share my heartfelt thanks to Zev for an amazing seven years of service, during which we published some special games including Super Skill Pinball, Rock-Paper-Wizard and Spiel des Jahres nominee, Fantasy Realms. I look forward to future collaborations with Zev should our paths cross, and I sincerely hope they do,” said Justin Ziran, President of WizKids.
Board game publishing at WizKids was expanded during Zev’s time at the company where he took a small catalog anchored by critical hits Quarriors™ and Mage Knight and expanded it with runaway titles such as Super Skill Pinball, Fantasy Realms, Sidereal Confluence, Rock-Paper-Wizard, Dungeon Scrawlers and numerous other licensed titles.
Zev will seek new opportunities in the tabletop industry. “As with all good campaign settings in games, I look forward to my next adventures in the hobby game industry,” Mr. Shlasinger concludes.
