Chase down Bajoran terrorists as part of the Cardassian Fleet with the Aldara in the new Star Trek: Attack Wing Blind Booster Pack.

This October Star Trek : Attack Wing Organized Play Events will feature a series of ten blind reinforcement boosters to be used during events, held over the next year. To prepare you for what you will find inside these blind boosters, let’s take an in depth look at the ships, continuing with the Cardassian Galor class ship Aldara.

The Aldara is a Cardassian Galor class ship that is best known for chasing down Bajoran Terrorists who sought to collapse the wormhole in Bajoran space. In addition to the 1 extra shield compared to a normal Galor class ship, the Aldara is especially equipped to chase and intercept enemy ships. The special ability on the Aldara allows you to change your maneuver once per round, if another ship in your forward firing arc moves before you do. The ultimate chase ship; one cannot easily escape the grasp of the Aldara. Gul Jasad, a no-nonsense Captain, who once threatened to destroy Deep Space Nine, has the full might of the Cardassian Fleet at his fingertips. As the Captain card in this blind booster, Gul Jasad allows you to take an action to add +1 attack die for each friendly ship within Range 1-2 (max +2). Afterward, you must place an Auxiliary Power Token beside your ship. To increase the awesome firepower of the Aldara even further, Concentrated Firepower is an Elite Talent Upgrade that allows you to take an action to target 1 enemy ship at Range 3 and every friendly ship (including your ship) gets +1 attack die when attacking the target ship. There is no doubt that the Cardassians have come ready to fight

To keep things balanced most ships in the blind reinforcement booster packs come with one Elite Talent, one Crew Upgrade, one Tech Upgrade and one Weapon Upgrade. Glinn Lasaran is the Crew Upgrade in this blind booster pack; he allows you discard this card in order to roll +2 defense dice. Truly demonstrating on how dangerous the Cardassians can be, High Energy Subspace Field is a Tech Upgrade that allows you to remove an Evade, Scan or Battle Stations Token from a ship within Range 1-3, and then place that Token on your own ship. If ever there was an upgrade that thematically captures the ruthlessness of the Cardassians, this is it. The Cardassians want what you have and they are prepared to take it by force. Finally, Aft Weapons Array allows your ship to fire at an opposing ship that is not in your forward firing arc. While Galor class ships like the Aldara are very powerful, maneuverability has never been their strong suit. Additionally the 180 degree firing arc on the Aldara makes it hard for enemies to get out of your firing arc. However, Aft Weapon Array perfectly fills the gap in game play when an enemy ship is behind you, out of your firing arc and it might take awhile to turn your ship around.

Players will enjoy this blind booster, because it expands on the Dominion Faction with new upgrades and provides powerful options for fleet building in the future. Specifically, the new dynamic paint job on this ship will make players want to get this blind booster for the model alone. All the attack upgrades in this pack will be desired by players who like strong battleships. The Cardassians are all about war and destruction, and this point is made evident in the Cardassian blind booster pack. Prepare to unleash war on your enemies, this time no one shall escape!
