Project Manager, Pop-culture Products and Game Accessories at WizKids

Hillside, NJ

At WizKids, we help connect people around the world through play and imagination. We work with some of the most recognizable pop-culture brands like Marvel, DC, Dungeons & Dragons, and Magic, producing products like comic book accessories, life-size statues, wall décor, pre-painted miniatures games, action-figures, general merchandise, and board games!  We continue to innovate and build new ways to foster friendship and connections.

That is where you come in!

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join Wizkids.  In this position, you will be responsible for managing product for all the brands. As a member on this team, you are encouraged to grow with, mentor, and inspire others and are encouraged to cultivate strong positive relationships with component teams within the company.

What you’ll do

  • Lead/support product and non-game accessories team!
  • Work with factories overseas and domestically managing development, quoting, and general product management.
  • Manage product specifications.  Setting up items in internal systems.  Preparing solicitation materials for sales. Coordinating deliverables to factories.

  • Address potential problems like resource blockers, quality concerns, and scope changes with other members of the production team.
  • Build and maintain project roadmaps, schedules, and documentation.
  • Balance the needs of end-consumer, internal clients, and the business using data-informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with other managers across WizKids to ensure comprehensive reporting and project tracking.

What you’ll bring

The successful candidate has a strong mix of organizational, communication, and leadership experience within the product development space.  But most importantly, has a comfort level with being out of one’s comfort zone; and expresses a passionate desire to learn about new things and solve problems.  As the business grows, this group may be trail-blazing new product formats, and continually investigating new opportunities with a critical eye towards making it a business as much as making stuff.

  • Able to drive a project from start to finish.
  • An experienced leader in motivating individual contributors and stake holders towards a shared goal, despite sometimes challenging circumstances.
