Greetings, HeroClix Fans!<\/p>\n

Marvel HeroClix: 15th Anniversary \u2013 What If? <\/strong><\/a>is on the horizon, and today we are continuing our preview series with a look at an alternate version of a familiar face.<\/p>\n

Today, we are imagining What If Iron Man<\/strong> Sold Out?<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

In this alternate reality, Tony Stark<\/strong> went public after he created the Iron Man<\/strong> armor and patented the technology, ushering in a new age in armor-based weaponry. The world changes for the worse as the Stark tech is used for terrible evils, including the introduction of powerful new Sentinels<\/strong> targeting mutantkind. This \u201cPeace Machine<\/strong>\u201d armor is worn by James Rhodes<\/strong> during the events that accompany Tony Stark\u2019s<\/strong> return from seclusion to see that things are made right.<\/p>\n

Peace Machine <\/strong>is used primarily for non-lethal action, and the armor has ways to directly and indirectly affect battles on the map. This figure possesses two traits. The first is Fine-Tuned Repulsors, <\/em>which is a special use of Force Blast<\/em> that may be used to target opposing characters within 3 squares and line of fire. The other trait, Suppression Field<\/em>, causes all characters to only take 3 damage when they would normally take 4 or more.<\/p>\n

With a budget cost of 50 points, Peace Machine\u2019s<\/strong> dial is short and sweet while still having abilities we would expect to see on an armored hero like Indomitable <\/em>and those granted by the wing symbol. Peace Machine<\/strong> begins with Sidestep<\/em> in his Speed slot and armored Toughness<\/em> on Defense. While using repulsor technology as pseudo-Telekinesis<\/em> can be useful for positioning other figures, it is also Peace Machine\u2019s<\/strong> best chance of dealing damage via using a range attack to do object damage. That damage can be sure to go through if paired with Outwit <\/em>to prevent an opposing character from using a damage reducing power.<\/p>\n

The second half of this 4-click dial brings more tech tricks with Plasticity<\/em> and some range defense from Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>. These last two clicks also feature Support<\/em> as Rhodey does his part to help fix this alternate reality that is terrorized by advanced technology.<\/p>\n
