Welcome back as we continue our series of previews for our upcoming Marvel HeroClix:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>Avengers\/Defenders War\u00a0<\/strong>set!\u00a0 Today, we take a close look at another character that we\u2019ve waited patiently to see in the game.\u00a0 From the pages of Daredevil <\/strong>to the Clix table, meet Melvin Potter, the Gladiator<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<\/div>

\"Marvel<\/a><\/span><\/div>

As a skilled costume and clothing designer, Melvin Potter turned to a life of crime and designed his own suit of armor and saw blade weapons, calling himself the Gladiator<\/strong>.\u00a0 He was frequently foiled by Daredevil<\/strong> and had a run in or two with Iron Man<\/strong> before getting his life in order and reforming his criminal ways.\u00a0 On the HeroClix map, he brings a healthy mix of close combat and range combat utilities along with the durability to last through a fight for his 60 points.<\/p>\n

Representing the Emissaries of Evil<\/em>, Maggia<\/em>, and Martial Artist<\/em> keywords, Gladiator<\/strong> muscles his way into the game with a starting click of Invulnerability <\/em>followed by a few clicks of Toughness <\/em>to keep him on his feet.\u00a0 Initially he excels at ranged attacks with Running Shot<\/em> and the ability to throw his custom saw blades with the special on attack, Titanium Sawblade Gauntlets.<\/em> When he hits a single character with a ranged attack, he can use Blades\/Claws\/Fangs <\/em>and choose to deal his base 3 damage or roll a D6 and replace and lock the result just like you would for a Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em> roll.\u00a0 With a range value of 5, Gladiator<\/strong> has a fairly long reach for attacks that can potentially deal 6 clicks of damage.\u00a0 If his opponents choose to close the distance and meet him base to base, he picks up the deadly combination of Flurry <\/em>and Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em> on his last two clicks.\u00a0 With a full dial of Blades<\/em> rolls, more than half of which can be at range, this is the Gladiator<\/strong> we\u2019ve been waiting for!<\/p>\n
