Welcome back as we preview another character from our upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix:\u00a0 Shredder\u2019s Return<\/strong> Gravity Feed!\u00a0 Today we present to you a recurring foe of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Timestress Renet Tilley.\u00a0 It\u2019s the former apprentice to Lord Simultaneous, Savanti Alfonso Juanito Geriero Santiago Romero (but you can call him Savanti Romero<\/strong> for brevity\u2019s sake)!<\/p>\n<\/div>

With a sculpt and dial design based on his appearances in the 1984 Mirage Comics run, Savanti Romero<\/strong> comes in at 100 points with the standard combat symbols on his dial and can shoot two targets up to 8 squares away.\u00a0 Two special powers highlight Savanti Romero<\/strong>\u2019s dial, one in his speed slot and the other in his damage slot.\u00a0 His speed special power, Carry Me To Safety, Dino<\/em>, lets him take a power action to place a Pterodactyl<\/strong> bystander adjacent to him.\u00a0 However, if there are no Pterodactyl<\/strong> bystanders on the map, Savanti Romero<\/strong> can place one as a free action instead.<\/p>\n

The Pterodactyl<\/strong> is a flyer with a speed value of 10 and an attack of 9.\u00a0 It has a base damage of 1 but comes with Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>.\u00a0 The Pterodactyl<\/strong> also has a printed defense of 16 that\u2019s backed by Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>, making it a bystander you\u2019ll want to carefully approach if one is across the map from you! \u00a0The Pterodactyl<\/strong> is a great expendable ally to block lines of fire to Savanti Romero<\/strong>, carry him around the battlefield, or potentially land a big hit on an opposing character.<\/p>\n

Savanti Romero<\/strong>\u2019s second special power, Blackest of Magicks<\/em>, lets him use Probability Control<\/em>.\u00a0 When an opposing character is KO\u2019d, Savanti Romero<\/strong> can place a Black Magic token on his card.\u00a0 You can remove a Black Magic token once during your opponent\u2019s turn to use Probability Control<\/em> a second time.<\/p>\n

Both Carry Me To Safety, Dino<\/em> and Blackest of Magicks<\/em> initially appear on Savanti Romero<\/strong>\u2019s dial on his second click.\u00a0 The rest of Savanti Romero<\/strong>\u2019s dial features an array of standard powers, starting with Phasing\/Teleport<\/em>, Penetrating\/Psychic Blast<\/em>, Invulnerability<\/em> and Leadership<\/em> and ending with Stealth<\/em> and Regeneration<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Although Savanti Romero<\/strong> has no move-and-attack powers, he still packs quite a punch with a fairly consistent set of damage and attack values that are backed by a short mid-dial run of Pulse Wave<\/em>.\u00a0 Savanti Romero<\/strong> can take a hit as well as he can give one too, thanks to Invulnerability<\/em> and Impervious<\/em> dominating the length of his dial.<\/p>\n

Lastly, for themed team building, Savanti Romero<\/strong> has the following keywords to build with:\u00a0 TMNT Villain<\/em>, Monster<\/em>, Mystical<\/em>, Past<\/em> and Ruler<\/em>.<\/p>\n
