Greetings HeroClix fans!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve been spoiling sneak peaks at the Convention Exclusives that will be available for you to win in February during the\u00a0Winter 2017 WizKids Open<\/a>.\u00a0 Today, we are taking a trip down one of Marvel Comics\u2019 possible dystopian futures with\u00a0Captain America<\/strong>\u00a0from the Earth X limited series!<\/p>\n

Though still in peak physical condition the\u00a0Captain America<\/strong>\u00a0from Earth X is showing his age.\u00a0 This kid from Brooklyn has grown up to be 100 years old and still fighting!\u00a0 After killing the\u00a0Red Skull<\/strong>\u00a0in battle he resigns from the Avengers; feeling unfit for duty, but soon returns from retirement and gathers new recruits to battle the army of a young\u00a0Skull<\/strong>\u00a0who invades New York City.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Bringing this alternate reality\u00a0Captain America<\/strong>\u00a0to your table will cost you 65 points, giving you\u00a0a lot for such an economical point value.\u00a0 In addition to the\u00a0S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Soldier\u00a0<\/em>keywords he is the first character in\u00a0HeroClix<\/strong>\u00a0history to have the\u00a0Earth X\u00a0<\/em>keyword.\u00a0 He has two traits to help lead your team to victory.\u00a0 First,\u00a0I\u2019ll Help You Break Free Of The Skull\u2019s Control\u00a0<\/em>prevents himself from being the target of\u00a0Mind Control\u00a0<\/em>and prevents him from being knocked back.\u00a0 Also, friendly characters modify their defense values by +2 when targeted by\u00a0Mind Control<\/em>.\u00a0 With his second trait,\u00a0Preparing For War<\/em>, you may choose to have\u00a0Captain America<\/strong>\u00a0do no damage when he hits a character that is equipped with an object to place that object on his own card.\u00a0 At the beginning of your turn you may equip any item on your card that you\u2019ve gathered from this trait, switching it out for any other item you\u2019ve already equipped with this trait. Basically,\u00a0Captain America<\/strong>\u00a0can take objects equipped as items on opposing characters, store them on his card, and every turn he can choose to equip a different one without discarding the others.<\/p>\n

Going to his dial, we see Cap is still the natural leader he has always been, leading from the front line.\u00a0 With\u00a0Running Shot<\/em>,\u00a0Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>, and a range value of 5 he can get into attack range fairly quickly and can be a serious threat with his attack value of 11 and\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>\u00a0to ignore pushing damage.\u00a0 Even when he is in the thick of the battle he is still able to motivate his team to fight their hardest.\u00a0 His special damage power,\u00a0The Leader We Need,\u00a0<\/em>lets him use Leadership but the dice roll cannot be re-rolled and when he succeeds at the roll, you may remove an action token from any number of friendly characters regardless of adjacency or point value, as long as their total point value together does not go over 150.\u00a0 Once\u00a0Captain America\u00a0<\/strong>takes a few clicks of damage he gains a few slots of\u00a0Precision Strike<\/em>\u00a0and late dial he switches to a close combat focus picking up\u00a0Charge<\/em>,\u00a0Combat Reflexes<\/em>, and\u00a0Exploit Weakness<\/em>.<\/p>\n
