Greetings HeroClix Fans!<\/p>\n

For today\u2019s team-building exercise, we bring you a quartet of Batman\u2019s most dangerous foes from the\u00a0DC Comics HeroClix: The Joker\u2019s Wild!<\/strong>\u00a0set.\u00a0 Since the Caped Crusader has such a large roster of villains, we\u2019ll focus on the\u00a0Knightfall<\/em>\u00a0storyline and head to Arkham Asylum to form a team of notable offenders.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s our lineup of Batman Enemies, as part of a\u00a0Gotham City Underworld<\/em>\u00a0keyword themed team:<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with\u00a0Bane<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"DC<\/a><\/p>\n

As part of a dastardly scheme to break Batman\u2019s body and spirit,\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u00a0freed all the occupants at Arkham Asylum, forcing the Dark Knight through a gauntlet to recapture each inmate. \u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u2019s long dial features only one standard power,\u00a0Charge<\/em>, on each click but he also has a solid set of combat values and a pair of traits that make him a dangerous piece.\u00a0\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u00a0also has the\u00a0Batman Enemy<\/em>\u00a0team ability, which lets him share his attack value with a friendly character using the same team ability.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Batman Enemy<\/em>\u00a0team ability is the focus of\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u2019s first trait,\u00a0This Is How I Deal With the Bat<\/em>, which lets him boost a character\u2019s attack value by +1 for a close attack if they use the team ability to borrow\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u2019s attack number.\u00a0 The second trait,\u00a0Venom Pump<\/em>, lets\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u00a0increase his attack and damage values and decrease the damage dealt to him according to the number of Venom tokens he uses.\u00a0 But using\u00a0Venom Pump<\/em>\u00a0has its drawbacks, so at the start of your turn,\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u00a0is dealt unavoidable damage equal to the number of Venom tokens he\u2019s removed.\u00a0\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u2019s long dial and sturdy combat numbers, coupled with his traits, make him a viable ideal primary attacker.\u00a0 You\u2019ll want to choose\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u2019s targets carefully, as the lack of defensive powers and the damage he\u2019s dealt from his\u00a0Venom Pump<\/em>\u00a0trait can quickly move him through his dial.<\/p>\n

\"DC<\/a><\/p>\n

Next up is\u00a0Killer Croc<\/strong>, who tussled with\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u00a0in the sewers beneath Gotham City as payback for an earlier attack.\u00a0 Unlike\u00a0Bane<\/strong>,\u00a0Killer Croc<\/strong>\u2019s shorter dial features several standard powers (Charge<\/em>,\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>,\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>, and\u00a0Toughness<\/em>) along with a variant of the\u00a0This Is How I Deal With the Bat,<\/em>\u00a0which provides a +2 attack value boost for close attacks against targets in water terrain.\u00a0\u00a0Killer Croc<\/strong>\u2019s power layout sees his potential damage output increase the deeper he gets into his dial.\u00a0 At only 50 points,\u00a0Killer Croc<\/strong>makes an interesting tag-team partner for\u00a0Bane<\/strong>, particularly if you\u2019re battling on a map that has water terrain, since he has the\u00a0Swimmer<\/em>\u00a0speed symbol.<\/p>\n

The Arkham Asylum breakout sees Batman working alone to corral the inmates and it furthers tension between him and Robin, who questions his necessity as the Caped Crusader\u2019s sidekick.\u00a0 After\u00a0Bane<\/strong>\u00a0breaks the Dark Knight\u2019s back, Robin remembers how he saved Batman several weeks earlier from our next Batman Enemies team member,\u00a0Two-Face<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"DC<\/a><\/p>\n

Two-Face<\/strong>\u2019s duality is well represented in his dial, which features click numbers in red and blue that you can switch between by means of a trait called\u00a0A Change Will Do Me Good<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0Two-Face<\/strong>\u00a0has a second trait called\u00a0Flip A Two-Headed Coin<\/em>, which lets him use\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0regardless of range or line of fire, but only for attack rolls and only if one of the dice results is a 2.\u00a0\u00a0Two-Face<\/strong>\u2019s dial also features a single special power called\u00a0Double-Barreled Shotgun<\/em>, which lets him use\u00a0Energy Explosion<\/em>\u00a0with 2 targets.\u00a0 Additionally, hit characters drop their combat values by -1 until your next turn.\u00a0\u00a0Two-Face<\/strong>\u00a0is an interesting ranged attacker if you get him on his blue click numbers, thanks to the opening combination of\u00a0Running Shot<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Double-Barreled Shotgun<\/em>\u00a0and mid-dial access to\u00a0Ranged Combat Expert<\/em>.\u00a0 On his red numbers,\u00a0Two-Face<\/strong>\u00a0plays a protective role with an opening click of\u00a0Defend<\/em>\u00a0and a defense value of 18 and\u00a0Support<\/em>\u00a0on his last two clicks.<\/p>\n

Our final team member is\u00a0Firefly<\/strong>, who spent his brief freedom from Arkham Asylum incinerating the places in Gotham City that he couldn\u2019t visit as a child, before Batman apprehended him.\u00a0\u00a0Firefly<\/strong>\u2019s dial is highlighted by a special power called\u00a0Napalm<\/em>, which lets him use\u00a0Energy Explosion<\/em>.\u00a0 Additionally, when he hits with a ranged attack, he can give one of the hit characters a Fire marker that deals penetrating damage at the start of that character\u2019s turns.\u00a0\u00a0Firefly<\/strong>\u00a0is best used initially to run-and-gun groups of enemies while carrying his teammates where they\u2019re needed.\u00a0 If you\u2019ve hit an opponent with\u00a0Napalm<\/em>, you may find it advantageous to keep\u00a0Killer Croc<\/strong>\u00a0nearby to intercept that character if it heads toward water terrain to remove the Fire marker.<\/p>\n

\"DC<\/a><\/p>\n

All the members of our force have the\u00a0Batman Enemy<\/em>\u00a0team ability so you\u2019ll want to find ways to stay together and share your attack values.\u00a0 Our force has a balance of close and ranged attackers, with the latter group having the ability to scatter damage to multiple targets with\u00a0Energy Explosion<\/em>.\u00a0 Admittedly, mobility may be an issue as\u00a0Firefly<\/strong>\u00a0is the only team member who can carry others.<\/p>\n
