Today we are continuing the Booster Brick previews for the upcoming\u00a0DC HeroClix: The<\/strong>\u00a0Joker\u2019s Wild<\/strong>! set.\u00a0 Today\u2019s feature presentation is none other than the titular funny man himself,\u00a0The Joker!\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0While there are several versions of\u00a0Batman\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0arch nemesis to be had in this set, this version of the Clown Prince of Crime is especially noteworthy as it has been taken straight from the cover and pages of Alan Moore\u2019s award winning one-shot graphic novel, The Killing Joke, published in 1988.<\/p>\n

\"DC<\/a><\/p>\n

Just like in the story,\u00a0The Joker<\/strong>\u00a0is a relentless terror bent on driving your opponent to madness, though it does take a certain amount of madness on your part to field him effectively.\u00a0 At 140 points, he has a few things you might expect from any\u00a0Joker<\/strong>; the\u00a0Batman Enemy<\/em>\u00a0team ability and\u00a0Arkham Asylum<\/em>,\u00a0Gotham City Underworld<\/em>, and\u00a0Injustice League<\/em>\u00a0keywords, but he also has some sly tricks up his short sleeves to make him worth his points.\u00a0 Starting with his two traits, we see evidence of his malicious intent to prey on those weaker than himself and to maintain his firm grip on insanity.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s The Laughing That Will Kill You<\/em>\u00a0lets\u00a0The Joker\u00a0<\/strong>usePoison<\/em>\u00a0that also deals penetrating damage to characters of lesser points than him, and his other trait,\u00a0Mad As A Hatter,<\/em>\u00a0prevents other characters from using\u00a0Precision Strike\u00a0<\/em>when attacking him; which makes hisMastermind\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Super Senses<\/em>\u00a0clicks especially vexing for your opponents.<\/p>\n

Offensively,\u00a0The Joker<\/strong>\u00a0is deadly up close as well as at range 6, though he really wants to draw\u00a0Batman\u00a0<\/strong>and any other hapless heroes in base-to-base contact to whisper sweet knock-knock jokes in their ears as hePoisons<\/em>\u00a0them with his trait and carve them up with\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>.\u00a0 To set the trap though, he uses\u00a0Stealth<\/em>\u00a0for cover and his special damage power\u00a0The Killing Joke!<\/em>, which lets him use\u00a0Improved Targeting: Ignore Characters<\/em>\u00a0and grants the use of\u00a0Ranged Combat Expert\u00a0<\/em>to deal with tough crowds and get those back row hecklers.\u00a0 Also, when he hits with any attack, characters are each given up to two action tokens.\u00a0 Perfect for keeping them in stitches while he uses\u00a0Indomitable\u00a0<\/em>to ignore pushing damage and get the same laughs twice. On the other hand, maybe you\u2019re finding the insane laughter infectious and want to ignore his\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>\u00a0and push him to his next click. His speed, attack, and damage powers switch off every other click between\u00a0Stealth<\/em>,\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>, and\u00a0The Killing Joke!<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>,\u00a0Precision Strike<\/em>, and\u00a0Outwit<\/em>\u00a0until click #7. On click #7, he has\u00a0Stealth<\/em>, a 12 attack with\u00a0Precision Strike<\/em>, 4 damage with\u00a0The Killing Joke!<\/em>special, and special power on defense, called\u00a0You\u2019ll Have To Kill Me,<\/em>\u00a0which grants him\u00a0Mastermind\u00a0<\/em>in addition to\u00a0STOP<\/em>. The\u00a0STOP<\/em>\u00a0on this power will also ensure that his\u00a0Mastermind<\/em>\u00a0can\u2019t be countered or ignored! Practice your punchlines because this\u00a0Joker<\/strong>\u00a0is sure to have your opposing team rolling (dice) in the aisles.<\/p>\n
