Greetings HeroClix Fans!<\/p>\n

For today\u2019s preview from the upcoming\u00a0DC Comics HeroClix: The Joker\u2018s Wild!<\/strong>\u00a0set, we check in with a pair of heroes from the Golden Age of comics.\u00a0 As two of the\u00a0Justice Society of America<\/em>\u2019s original members,\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>\u00a0are here to fight crime and uphold the values of a bygone era.\u00a0 First up, let\u2019s take a look at Rex Tyler (aka\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>)!<\/p>\n

\"DC<\/a><\/p>\n

With a sculpt that recalls his early appearances with the Justice Society in\u00a0All-Star Comics<\/em>,\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0can be added to your force for 25 points.\u00a0\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0has the standard speed, attack and damage symbols and the\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>\u00a0defense symbol, which lets him use\u00a0Willpower<\/em>\u00a0to shrug off pushing damage.\u00a0\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0also has the Justice Society team ability, which lets him share his unmodified defense value with an adjacent teammate that has the same team ability.\u00a0 Speaking of the\u00a0Justice Society<\/em>\u00a0team ability, it\u2019s the focus of\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u2019s trait,\u00a0A Simpler Time<\/em>, which lets a character use\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0when that character uses the team ability to use\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u2019s defense value. \u00a0However,\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0from\u00a0A Simpler Time<\/em>\u00a0can only be used if the attack roll has a 6.<\/p>\n

Hourman<\/strong>\u2019s no-frills dial includes\u00a0Super Strength<\/em>\u00a0on all but his last click, which features\u00a0Regeneration<\/em>\u00a0to potentially heal him back to more useful parts of his dial.\u00a0 To supplement his\u00a0Super Strength<\/em>,\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0has a special power called\u00a0Top Of The Hour<\/em>\u00a0which can supply him with a standard light object to hold if he\u2019s given a move action while adjacent to blocking terrain.\u00a0\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0is built primarily for close attacks and his range value of 0 reflects that \u2013 but newer players should remember that you can throw objects to cause damage regardless of your range value!<\/p>\n

\"DC<\/a><\/p>\n

Armed with his gas mask, Sleep Gun and keen detective skills, Wesley Dodds (aka\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>) has a point value of 30 and both the Justice Society team ability and the\u00a0A Simpler Time<\/em>\u00a0trait.\u00a0 Like\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>,\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>\u2019s dial is fairly straightforward:\u00a0\u00a0Stealth<\/em>\u00a0appears on all but his last click and\u00a0Willpower<\/em>\u00a0shows up on his first two clicks.\u00a0\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>\u00a0also has a special power called\u00a0Sleep Gun<\/em>\u00a0which lets him counter an opposing character\u2019s power when he hits that character with an attack.\u00a0 The chosen power remains countered until the opposing character clears action tokens.<\/p>\n

Unlike\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>,\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>\u00a0can shoot one target up to five squares away.\u00a0 His speed and damage values are consistent, while his attack and defense numbers change just a bit as you get deeper into his dial.<\/p>\n

Both\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>\u00a0have the\u00a0Justice Society<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Past<\/em>\u00a0keywords if you\u2019re looking to include either or both on themed teams.\u00a0\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0also has the\u00a0Scientist<\/em>\u00a0keyword while\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>\u00a0has\u00a0All-Star Squadron<\/em>as an additional option.\u00a0 At only 55 points, both\u00a0Hourman<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Sandman<\/strong>\u00a0leave plenty of room on a force for other attackers and support characters.\u00a0With the low point values of the Golden Age line-up of the\u00a0Justice Society of America<\/em>, players will be able to field an impressive 9-figure\u00a0JSA<\/em>\u00a0team!<\/p>\n
