We\u2019re back with another exciting preview from our upcoming\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix<\/strong>:\u00a0Heroes In A Half Shell<\/strong>\u00a0Gravity Feed release!\u00a0 Today, we take a look at two of the chase rarity characters found in the set.\u00a0 Let\u2019s start with\u00a0Raphael<\/strong>\u2019s superhero counterpart from an alternate reality,\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\"TMNT<\/a><\/p>\n

With a sculpt and dial inspired by the 1984\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/em>\u00a0comic series,\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0can be added to your force by spending either 125 or 100 points, with his lower-point starting line appearing on click 3.\u00a0 If you want to build a themed team around\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>, he has the\u00a0TMNT<\/em>\u00a0keyword as his only option.\u00a0\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0has the standard speed, attack, defense and damage symbols and his lack of range means he\u2019s built primarily for close attacks.<\/p>\n

Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0begins play with a trait called\u00a0Shrink To Save Yourself!<\/em>\u00a0that represents his ability to change size.\u00a0 With\u00a0Shrink To Save Yourself!<\/em>,\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0can choose at the beginning of your turn either the Giant or Tiny damage symbol to last until your next turn.\u00a0 If\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0chooses Tiny, he can\u2019t make attacks.\u00a0 Moving over to\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u2019s dial, he has a special power called\u00a0Pound, Crush, Smash<\/em>\u00a0that lets him use\u00a0Super Strength<\/em>.\u00a0 Additionally, when\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0makes a close object attack and hits, after actions resolve he can make a close attack targeting the hit character.\u00a0\u00a0Pound, Crush, Smash<\/em>\u00a0appears on\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u2019s first three clicks, as doesCharge<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u2019s solid attack and damage values make him a dangerous foe regardless of whether or not he\u2019s holding an object.\u00a0 Mobility may be an issue, however, so consider pairing\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0with a character that can take him where he\u2019s needed \u2013 someone like the\u00a0Shellectro\u00a0<\/strong>chase!<\/p>\n

\"TMNT<\/a><\/p>\n

Shellectro<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u2019s alternate reality superhero counterpart and can be played at either 100 or 50 points.\u00a0 If\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u00a0is used at 50 points, he starts his dial on click 4.\u00a0 Like\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>,\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u00a0has the\u00a0TMNT<\/em>\u00a0keyword for themed play; unlike\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>, he also has the\u00a0Scientist<\/em>\u00a0keyword as an additional option.\u00a0\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u00a0has the wing speed symbol, which lets him carry teammates, and the standard attack, defense and damage symbols.\u00a0 And while\u00a0Griddex<\/strong>\u00a0is built mainly for close attacks,\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u00a0can shoot 2 targets up to 7 squares away.<\/p>\n

Special powers appear on\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u2019s dial in both his attack and damage slots and make good use of his ranged capabilities.\u00a0 The attack special power,\u00a0Zappower!<\/em>, lets\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u00a0use\u00a0Energy Explosion<\/em>\u00a0and has the potential to knock back hit characters 3 squares.\u00a0\u00a0Zappower!<\/em>\u00a0only appears on\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u2019s first three clicks so it isn\u2019t available if you play him at 50 points.\u00a0 That\u2019s not the case with\u00a0Shellectro<\/strong>\u2019s damage special power,\u00a0Counter Force Bolt<\/em>, which lets him choose an opposing character that he hits with a ranged attack and prevents them from making ranged attacks until your next turn.<\/p>\n
