Greetings, HeroClix fans! Today, we\u2019re taking another look at the upcoming\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix: Heroes in a Half-Shell\u00a0<\/strong>set with one of the more unsettling villains from the pantheon of Turtles villains \u2013\u00a0Rat King!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\"TMNT<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

A 100-point piece with 6 clicks of life,\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0is all about board control and misdirection. He possesses\u00a0Improved Movement \u2013 Ignores Hindering Terrain<\/em>, as well as a trait called\u00a0Rats Everywhere\u2026I am Everywhere.\u00a0<\/em>This trait states that you may give\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0a free action if he occupies hindering terrain. When you do, you may then place him in another square of hindering terrain within 6 squares. Played on the right map,\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0is nearly impossible to keep in one place!<\/p>\n

Moving on to\u00a0Rat King\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0special powers, his Movement special power called\u00a0Pawns in My Game<\/em>\u00a0appears on his first 3 clicks and allows him to use\u00a0Stealth.\u00a0<\/em>He\u2019s also able to use\u00a0Mind Control<\/em>\u00a0as if he had a range value of 6 \u2013 and when he does, he can use\u00a0Improved Targeting<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Ignores Elevation, Hindering Terrain, Blocking Terrain,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Characters<\/em>. And if that wasn\u2019t enough, his second special power,\u00a0Game for the World<\/em>, allows him to use both\u00a0Perplex\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0on his first two clicks of life.<\/p>\n

Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0also has a collection of standard powers that will frustrate your opponents! If his\u00a0Mind Control<\/em>doesn\u2019t work out,\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0has a Plan B in the form of\u00a0Poison<\/em>! If an opposing character does manage to pin him down, they\u2019ll be paying the price with 1 click of damage. Furthermore, he also has\u00a0Super Senses<\/em>, giving him a chance to completely avoid taking damage with a lucky roll. Later in his dial,\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0can use\u00a0Phasing\/Teleport<\/em>\u00a0to avoid combat,\u00a0Outwit<\/em>\u00a0to counter powers,\u00a0Shape Change<\/em>\u00a0to prevent attacks, and\u00a0Regeneration<\/em>\u00a0to potentially heal back up to the top half of his dial!<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0was often thought of as a joke, but the iteration of the character in the 2011 comic series really revitalized him into a truly terrifying villain.\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0can be maddening to play against, and a true joy to play with.
