Cowabunga, dudes! Welcome to another totally righteous look into more awesome figures from the upcoming\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell<\/strong>\u00a0set! Today, we\u2019re going to dive deep on the stars of the show from the 1987 animated series \u2013\u00a0Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!<\/strong><\/p>\n

To start, all four of the Turtles are 60-point pieces, and each has 5 clicks of life. Each also possess the\u00a0Swimmer<\/em>\u00a0movement symbol, and each has the\u00a0TMNT, TMNT Ally, Animal,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Martial Artist<\/em>\u00a0keywords. Finally, in the cases of\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Raphael<\/strong>, they are both\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 allowing you to push the two of them without taking any pushing damage.<\/p>\n

\"TMNT<\/a><\/p>\n

To start our look into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves, we\u2019ll first look at\u00a0Raphael<\/strong>. Raph possesses a trait called\u00a0Cool but Crude<\/em>, which allows him to use\u00a0Battle Fury\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Shape Change<\/em>. He also has a special power on the first three clicks of his attack called\u00a0Lock Blades,<\/em>\u00a0which allows him to use\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>, but prevents opposing adjacent characters from using it. For standard powers, he has\u00a0Charge, Sidestep, Blades\/Claws\/Fangs, Combat Reflexes,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Toughness.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0\"TMNT<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Next up is everyone\u2019s favorite \u2018chucker,\u00a0Michelangelo!<\/strong>\u00a0Mikey has a trait called\u00a0Party Dude<\/em>\u00a0which states that when\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0or another friendly character with the\u00a0TMNT<\/em>\u00a0keyword makes an attack, attack rolls of 11 are also critical hits! He possesses a special movement power on his first two clicks, and final click, called\u00a0Sewer Skating<\/em>, which says that if\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0is indoors, he can use\u00a0Hypersonic Speed<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 and, if he\u2019s outdoors, he can use\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>. Standard powers bring Mikey\u00a0Flurry, Toughness, Willpower, Perplex,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Empower.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"TMNT<\/a><\/p>\n

Third is the brains of the operation \u2013\u00a0Donatello!\u00a0<\/strong>Donnie\u2019s trait is called\u00a0Does Machines<\/em>, which states that you can give\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0a power action when he\u2019s adjacent to an object or a character holding an object. That object is removed from the game, and all friendly characters with the\u00a0TMNT<\/em>\u00a0keyword modify their attack values by +1 until one of those characters hits an opposing character. He also has a special power appearing on his first two clicks, and last click of damage called\u00a0Brains of the Bunch<\/em>. This power allows\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0the ability to use\u00a0Outwit.\u00a0<\/em>When he does, you\u2019ll then roll a d6 \u2013 on a result of a 5 or 6,\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0can use\u00a0Outwit\u00a0<\/em>a second time this turn, targeting the same character. For standard powers, Donnie can use\u00a0Leap\/Climb, Sidestep, Defend, Toughness,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Close Combat Expert<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"TMNT<\/a><\/p>\n

Finally, we come to the man in blue,\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>. Leo\u2019s trait is called\u00a0Leads<\/em>, which states that\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0can use\u00a0Leadership<\/em>. When he does and succeeds, modify the defense value of one friendly character with the\u00a0TMNT\u00a0<\/em>keyword by +1 until your next turn. On attack, he has a special power on his first 3 clicks called\u00a0Twin Katanas<\/em>, allowing\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0to use\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>. When he does, he may instead roll 2d6 and choose one as the result. For standard powers, he has\u00a0Charge, Leap\/Climb, Blades\/Claws\/Fangs, Toughness,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Combat Reflexes<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Together, the heroes in a half-shell come out to 240 points, giving you room to add someone like\u00a0Casey Jones<\/strong>,\u00a0Fugitoid, Renet Tilley<\/strong>, or\u00a0Splinter<\/strong>\u00a0to the team and maintain the TMNT Ally theme.<\/p>\n
