{"id":6093,"date":"2016-09-01T14:52:18","date_gmt":"2016-09-01T14:52:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/67272bb316.nxcli.io\/heroclix\/?p=6093"},"modified":"2016-10-13T19:31:03","modified_gmt":"2016-10-13T19:31:03","slug":"tmnt-heroclix-heroes-in-a-half-shell-rocksteady","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wizkids.com\/heroclix\/2016\/09\/01\/tmnt-heroclix-heroes-in-a-half-shell-rocksteady\/","title":{"rendered":"TMNT HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell Rocksteady"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings HeroClix fans!<\/p>\n<p>We continue our series of previews for the\u00a0<strong>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell\u00a0<\/strong>set by focusing on another of\u00a0<strong>Shredder<\/strong>\u2019s bumbling henchmen.\u00a0 We previously showed you the mutated warthog\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/heroclix.com\/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles\/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-heroclix-heroes-in-a-half-shell\/tmnt-heroclix-heroes-half-shell-bebop\/\"><strong>Bebop<\/strong><\/a>; please welcome his partner, the equally dense rhinoceros,\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/heroclix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/017-Rocksteady.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18050\" src=\"http:\/\/heroclix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/017-Rocksteady.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 524px) 100vw, 524px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/heroclix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/017-Rocksteady.jpg 1200x, http:\/\/heroclix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/017-Rocksteady-300x139.jpg 300x, http:\/\/heroclix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/017-Rocksteady-768x355.jpg 768x, http:\/\/heroclix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/017-Rocksteady-1024x474.jpg 1024x\" alt=\"TMNT HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell - Rocksteady\" width=\"524\" height=\"242\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Like\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0is based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series and has the standard speed, attack, defense and damage symbols.\u00a0 Also like\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0can shoot a single target up to five squares away.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0has the\u00a0<em>Foot Clan, TMNT Villain,<\/em>\u00a0<em>Animal<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Brute<\/em>\u00a0keywords as options if you wish to include him on a themed force.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0has solid combat values and a power set that contrasts with\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>\u2019s. \u00a0He starts as a close attacker with\u00a0<em>Charge<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Super Strength<\/em>, then switches to a ranged attacker with\u00a0<em>Running Shot<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Energy Explosion<\/em>. Like\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0ends his dial with\u00a0<em>Sidestep<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Regeneration<\/em>\u00a0to let him escape to fight another day or heal back to stronger clicks and keep fighting.<\/p>\n<p>The contrast between\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>\u00a0spills over into the former\u2019s two traits.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u2019s first trait,\u00a0<em>Uh\u2026 What Was I Supposed To Be Doing?<\/em>, lets him use\u00a0<em>Willpower<\/em>\u00a0if a friendly character named\u00a0<strong>Shredder<\/strong>\u00a0is on the map.\u00a0 Additionally, the trait lets friendly characters named\u00a0<strong>Shredder<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>\u00a0use\u00a0<em>Empower<\/em>, but only to boost damage from close attacks from characters named\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>. \u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u2019s second trait,\u00a0<em>Missed It By Thaaaaat Much<\/em>, lets you place a Mutant Moron Token on his card when he misses an attack.\u00a0 He\u00a0can then use a free action to remove two Mutant Moron Tokens and remove all action tokens from a teammate with whom he shares a keyword.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0comes in at 80 points, which leaves you with plenty of room to include teammates like\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Shredder<\/strong>.\u00a0 In fact, you can include\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>\u00a0and #021\u00a0<strong>Shredder<\/strong>\u00a0from the first\u00a0<strong>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix<\/strong>\u00a0set and still have points left for another attacker or two.\u00a0 Just remember that if you\u2019re playing\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0<strong>Bebop<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Shredder<\/strong>, you\u2019ll want to keep them all near one another to benefit from\u00a0<strong>Rocksteady<\/strong>\u2019s traits.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for reading!\u00a0 Join us again as we reveal more exciting characters and highlight strategies and team builds from the\u00a0<strong>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix: Heroes in a Half Shell<\/strong>\u00a0set.\u00a0 Until then, keep calm and never pay full price for late pizza!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings HeroClix fans!
