Greetings HeroClix Fans!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for another HeroClix preview from the upcoming\u00a0Marvel HeroClix: Superior Foes of Spider-Man<\/strong>set.\u00a0 Today\u2019s preview gives us a pair of heroes who have been staunch allies of\u00a0Spider-Man<\/strong>\u00a0since their debut over 30 years ago,\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0Dagger<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

As a pair of runaway teens who met on the streets of New York, Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen were captured and experimented on by the\u00a0Maggia\u00a0<\/strong>to develop new and dangerous drugs to flood the streets with.\u00a0 The experiments triggered latent mutant abilities in the pair that tied them together in a symbiotic-like relationship.\u00a0\u00a0Cloak\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>body acts as an aperture to the dimension of darkness and creates a hunger for \u2018light\u2019 energy, which he absorbs from whoever he surrounds with his cloak.\u00a0\u00a0Dagger\u00a0<\/strong>is a limitless reservoir for that \u2018light\u2019 energy that\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>\u00a0feeds on, and can use that energy to create and throw psionic daggers that can either drain someone\u2019s energy or heal them.\u00a0 With her presence,\u00a0Cloak\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0hunger never consumes him and with his presence,\u00a0Dagger<\/strong>\u00a0never overloads on energy.<\/p>\n

When\u00a0Cloak\u00a0<\/strong>&\u00a0Dagger<\/strong>\u00a0hit your gaming table, each at 35 points, you\u2019ll see these two are built for mutual teamwork.\u00a0 They both share the\u00a0Marvel Knights<\/em>\u00a0keyword, the\u00a0Spider-Man Ally<\/em>\u00a0\u2018wild card\u2019 team ability, and a trait that complements the other in the pair.<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Starting with\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>\u00a0we see his abilities to phase into the dark dimension are represented by\u00a0Improved Movement<\/em>\u00a0that ignores\u00a0elevated terrain<\/em>,\u00a0hindering terrain<\/em>,\u00a0blocking terrain<\/em>, and\u00a0other character bases<\/em>.\u00a0 His trait,\u00a0She Depends On Me<\/em>\u00a0gives him the\u00a0Carry<\/em>\u00a0ability, but, additionally, if he carries a friendly\u00a0Dagger<\/strong>\u00a0he may carry a second character. The trait also lets him take a power action to place\u00a0Dagger\u00a0<\/strong>adjacent to him if she is within 10 squares and line of fire.\u00a0 Between his improved movement, traits, and his constant 10 movement value with\u00a0Stealth,<\/em>\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>\u00a0has incredible mobility and team placement options and may be one of the few 0 range figures without a move and attack power that can sneak up on an opponent.\u00a0 To keep him and whoever he carries alive, he obtains the trait\u00a0Defend,<\/em>\u00a0with a starting defense value of 18 which transitions into\u00a0Super Senses<\/em>.\u00a0 You\u2019ll notice he does have a damage value of 0, which is a rare thing, but he has a special power that still makes him useful offensively and the ability to hurt opposing characters through most damage reduction options.\u00a0\u00a0Chilling Darkness<\/em>, in addition to the use of\u00a0Shape Change<\/em>, allows him to hit with a close attack and deal the hit character 1 penetrating damage, instead of normal damage.\u00a0 So far, we only have half the story.\u00a0 Let\u2019s check out\u00a0Dagger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Where\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>\u00a0is the close attacking and mobility specialist of the pair,\u00a0Dagger<\/strong>\u00a0is the ranged attacking and healing expert.\u00a0 Her trait,\u00a0He Depends On Me<\/em>\u00a0allows her to heal an adjacent friendly\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>\u00a0of 1 damage at the start of your turn.\u00a0 Moving right into offense, she has\u00a0Running Shot<\/em>\u00a0with a range value of 4 with the ability to target 3 characters.\u00a0 This is very useful even though she shares the same 0 damage value as\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>.\u00a0 Her special damage power,\u00a0Searing Light<\/em>, grants her the use of\u00a0Support,<\/em>\u00a0but also when she hits an opposing character with a ranged attack, they are dealt 1 penetrating damage instead of normal damage.<\/p>\n

They might have short dials and 0 damage values but at 70 points for the pair,\u00a0Cloak<\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0Dagger<\/strong>\u00a0bring tremendous utility to your teams.<\/p>\n
