Greetings, HeroClix fans! Welcome to another exciting preview from the upcoming\u00a0Marvel HeroClix: Superior Foes of Spider-Man<\/strong>\u00a0set! Today, we are looking at two members of the Superior Foes team from the\u00a0Superior Foes of Spider-Man<\/em>\u00a0comic series,\u00a0Speed Demon<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Boomerang!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\"Marvel<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Up first we have\u00a0Speed Demon<\/strong>, a\u00a0Speedster<\/em>\u00a0who\u2019s been a member of the\u00a0Sinister Syndicate<\/em>, as well as part of the\u00a0Thunderbolts<\/em>! Coming in at 80 points,\u00a0Speed Demon<\/strong>\u00a0possesses a trait shared by all characters on the Superior Foes team, called\u00a0Superior to the Other Guys<\/em>! Once per turn for all characters using the trait, when a character uses the Sinister Syndicate team ability to replace their attack value with\u00a0Speed Demon\u2019s<\/strong>, that character can also use\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0during that attack!\u00a0Speed Demon<\/strong>\u00a0also comes with a Clix FX base to use with his second trait,\u00a0Speed Shadow<\/em>!\u00a0Speed Shadow<\/em>\u00a0allows him to place the Speed Shadow marker in a square he moves through during an action. Then, when\u00a0Speed Demon<\/strong>\u00a0attempts to make a close combat attack, he treats characters adjacent to the\u00a0Speed Shadow<\/em>\u00a0marker as adjacent to him \u2013 which goes well with his full dial of\u00a0Hypersonic Speed<\/em>\u00a0and high speed value!<\/p>\n

Moving on to the other powers in his dial,\u00a0Speed Demon<\/strong>\u00a0has two special powers. His attack special power called\u00a0Punch You Before You Know It!<\/em>\u00a0appears on the last three clicks of his dial, and allows\u00a0Speed Demon<\/strong>to use of\u00a0Hypersonic Speed<\/em>. When he does, he can use\u00a0Flurry<\/em>\u00a0as a free action instead of making a close attack for that action!\u00a0Speed Demon\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0special defense power on his first three clicks of his dial is called\u00a0I Got Super-Speed, Baby!\u00a0<\/em>which gives him\u00a0Combat Reflexes<\/em>\u00a0and, if he moved at all during your last turn, he can also use\u00a0Energy Shield\/Deflection.\u00a0<\/em>Wrapping up, he has\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>\u00a0for\u00a0Willpower<\/em>\u00a0to keep him moving as well as\u00a0Super Senses<\/em>, and\u00a0Probability Control\u00a0<\/em>toward the end of his dial.<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

The second member of the\u00a0Superior Foes<\/em>\u00a0we\u2019re previewing today is the self-appointed leader of this version of the\u00a0Sinister Syndicate<\/em>,\u00a0Boomerang!\u00a0<\/strong>A former professional baseball player, as well as a member of the\u00a0Masters of Evil<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Thunderbolts<\/em>,\u00a0Boomerang\u00a0<\/strong>comes to this team of foes to make one last big score for himself. And, uh\u2026sure\u2026for the rest of the team as well (he promises he won\u2019t betray you!). He possesses both the Sinister Syndicate and Masters of Evil team abilities, and can be played at 110 points for 6 clicks of life, or scaled back a bit at 75 points with 4 clicks of life. To start, like the other members of his team,\u00a0Boomerang<\/strong>\u00a0has the\u00a0Superior to the Other Guys\u00a0<\/em>trait. Like\u00a0Speed Demon,\u00a0<\/strong>this trait can be used when sharing attack values with the Sinister Syndicate Team Ability, but with a different twist. When taking\u00a0Boomerang\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0attack value, that character can also use\u00a0Precision Strike<\/em>\u00a0during that attack!<\/p>\n

Boomerang<\/strong>\u00a0also has two special powers on his dial. His defense special power called\u00a0Mid-Air Boomerang Deflection\u00a0<\/em>allows him to use his boomerangs to distract opponents from hitting him! This power lets\u00a0Boomerang<\/strong>\u00a0use\u00a0Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>, and if he would be hit by a ranged attack while he has no action tokens, you may give him an action token to immediately use\u00a0Super Senses!\u00a0<\/em>His damage special power called\u00a0Got My Own Gang Now\u2026and They Sorta Listen to Me<\/em>\u00a0lets\u00a0Boomerang<\/strong>\u00a0use\u00a0Leadership<\/em>. However, if he does so and fails, you may give an action token to an adjacent friendly character to remove an action token from him instead! Talk about a team player!<\/p>\n

For combat symbols and abilities, Boomerang has a 6 range with two bolts,\u00a0Improved Targeting \u2013 Ignores Characters<\/em>, and the\u00a0Flight<\/em>\u00a0Ability (thanks to his awesome new Jet Boots!). But that\u2019s not all \u2013\u00a0Boomerang<\/strong>has a plethora of standard powers on his dial, including\u00a0Running Shot, Sidestep, Stealth, Energy Explosion, Precision Strike, Toughness, Ranged Combat Expert,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Outwit.<\/em><\/p>\n
