Greetings, HeroClix fans, and welcome to another team building study for the\u00a0Marvel HeroClix: Civil War\u00a0<\/strong>Storyline OP Event! Today, we\u2019re switching gears a bit to the\u00a0Anti-Registration<\/em>\u00a0side of things, and looking at three heroes of the future from the\u00a0Young Avengers!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Our first member of the team is part Kree, part Skrull, and 100% Avenger \u2013\u00a0Hulkling!\u00a0<\/strong>An indomitable 90-point piece,\u00a0Hulkling\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0is a vicious attacker with a wide array of powers and abilities that really help him shine. He starts with two traits, the first of which is called\u00a0Defend Billy, No Matter What.\u00a0<\/em>This trait states that adjacent friendly characters named\u00a0Wiccan\u00a0<\/strong>can use\u00a0Mastermind<\/em>, but only to transfer damage to\u00a0Hulkling.\u00a0<\/strong>His second trait, called\u00a0Alien Physiology<\/em>, allows\u00a0Hulkling<\/strong>\u00a0to use\u00a0Shape Change<\/em>. Additionally, adjacent friendly characters with the\u00a0Young Avengers<\/em>\u00a0keyword modify their defense values by +1!\u00a0Hulkling<\/strong>\u00a0has a tremendous mix of standard powers throughout his dial, including\u00a0Charge, Sidestep, Flurry, Super Strength, Blades\/Claws\/Fangs, Invulnerability, Toughness, Regeneration, Close Combat Expert,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Empower.<\/em>\u00a0He also has a special power called\u00a0Grow Wings and Get Out\u00a0<\/em>on his final 3 clicks of movement that grants\u00a0Hulkling<\/strong>the\u00a0Flier<\/em>\u00a0combat symbol, as well as\u00a0Improved Movement \u2013 Ignores Characters<\/em>!<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course, inseparable from\u00a0Hulkling<\/strong>\u00a0is his loving boyfriend,\u00a0Wiccan.\u00a0<\/strong>A 90-point piece with a range of five squares,\u00a0Wiccan\u00a0<\/strong>is designed to support, transport, and assist his fellow\u00a0Young Avengers<\/em>\u00a0in any way possible. Starting with his trait\u00a0Teleporting the Young Avengers<\/em>, we see that\u00a0Wiccan<\/strong>\u00a0can use the\u00a0Carry<\/em>\u00a0ability \u2013 and, when he does, he may carry up to five characters if they all have the\u00a0Young Avengers<\/em>\u00a0keyword! He possesses only three standard powers \u2013\u00a0Phasing\/Teleport, Energy Shield\/Deflection,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 but he makes up for that with three special powers. The first, appearing on his first three clicks of attack is called\u00a0Mystical Tutelage<\/em>, which allows\u00a0Wiccan\u00a0<\/strong>the ability to use the\u00a0Mystics<\/em>\u00a0team ability! His second, appearing on his final three clicks of defense, is called\u00a0Defensive Spells,\u00a0<\/em>allowing\u00a0Wiccan\u00a0<\/strong>the option to use\u00a0Barrier, Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>, and\u00a0Toughness<\/em>. Finally, on his first two clicks of damage,\u00a0Any Spell You Need<\/em>\u00a0grants\u00a0Wiccan<\/strong>\u00a0the ability to use\u00a0Outwit, Perplex, Probability Control<\/em>, and\u00a0Support!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Lastly, we have the powerhouse of the\u00a0Young Avengers<\/em>\u00a0team, the daughter of the Ant-Man,\u00a0Stature!<\/strong>\u00a0An 80-point piece with 8 clicks of life,\u00a0Stature<\/strong>\u00a0is your team\u2019s front line attacker, ready to charge in and mix it up! To begin,\u00a0Stature<\/strong>\u00a0has two traits \u2013 the first is called\u00a0Pushing Myself Larger<\/em>, which states that, at the beginning of your turn, you may have\u00a0Stature<\/strong>\u00a0gain the\u00a0Colossal<\/em>\u00a0combat symbol, modifying her attack value by +1 this turn.\u00a0However, if you do, at the end of your turn you\u2019ll need to deal her 1 unavoidable damage. Additionally, she has a second trait called\u00a0I\u2019ve Decided to Change Sides<\/em>. This trait says that at the beginning of the game, choose either\u00a0Anti-Registration<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Pro-Registration<\/em>. Then, once per game, at the beginning of your turn, you may choose again \u2013\u00a0Stature<\/strong>\u00a0modifies her attack value by +1 when attacking opposing characters with the most recently chosen keyword! She also has a solid mix of standard powers, including\u00a0Charge, Plasticity, Super Strength, Toughness, Willpower, Barrier,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Close Combat Expert!<\/em><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Young Avengers<\/em>\u00a0were the next line of heroes for the Marvel Universe and we feel we\u2019ve represented the team well by\u00a0grouping these\u00a0characters together.
