Greetings once again, HeroClix fans! Today, we\u2019re taking another look into the\u00a0Marvel HeroClix: Civil War\u00a0<\/strong>Storyline OP Event, with one of the most skilled combatants in the Marvel Universe \u2013 the\u00a0Taskmaster!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A feared villain turned trainer for the\u00a0Initiative<\/em>,\u00a0Taskmaster<\/strong>\u00a0is an incredible fighter with a photographic memory, allowing him to adapt to the fighting style of anyone he\u2019s ever faced before, just by watching them move! As such, he\u2019s been able to fight and defeat the likes of\u00a0Captain America, Daredevil,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Deadpool<\/strong>with relative ease \u2013 typically, what defeats\u00a0Taskmaster<\/strong>\u00a0is his overconfidence!<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

As a skilled combatant, it\u2019s only fitting he have traits that show that. His first, called\u00a0I Took Out the Avengers Once\u2026Most of Them<\/em>, states that you may give\u00a0Taskmaster<\/strong>\u00a0a free action, choosing one of his combat values that is lower than the same combat value on one adjacent opposing character. You may then modify the chosen combat value by +1 until your next turn, or until his dial is clicked. His second trait really emphasizes\u00a0Taskmaster\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>versatility in combat, and is called\u00a0Master of All Moves<\/em>. This trait says that at the beginning of your turn, you may turn\u00a0Taskmaster\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0dial to another click. If you do, at the end of your turn, return him to the click he began the turn on!<\/p>\n

Normally, it would make sense to run through power by power, but in the case of\u00a0Taskmaster<\/strong>, it makes more sense to look at the situations that his dial layout and design offer. Need to work from the shadows? Click 1 offers\u00a0Stealth, Precision Strike, Super Senses,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Perplex<\/em>. Ranged combat is the order of the round? Make use of his range of 5 squares on click 3, giving you\u00a0Running Shot, Penetrating\/Psychic Blast, Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>, and\u00a0Enhancement<\/em>. Locked in close combat and need to deal as much damage as possible to a pesky Shapeshifter? Click 6 offers\u00a0Flurry, Blades\/Claws\/Fangs,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Battle Fury<\/em>. His possibilities are nearly endless, and the opportunities he offers are exciting.<\/p>\n

Hinted at earlier,\u00a0Taskmaster<\/strong>\u00a0is a man of shifting allegiances \u2013 and his\u00a0Minions of Doom<\/em>\u00a0team ability solidifies that by making him a wildcard, allowing you to copy other team abilities from your friendly characters. He\u2019s also able to be run on themed teams for\u00a0Hydra, Initiative, Martial Artist, Pro-Registration<\/em>, and\u00a0Thunderbolts<\/em>!<\/p>\n
