Greetings HeroClix Fans!\u00a0Civil War is upon us!\u00a0 Beginning June 1st\u00a0HeroClix venues all over the world\u00a0will kick off the\u00a0Marvel HeroClix: Civil War Storyline Organized Play.<\/strong>\u00a0Choose your side, whether you stand with Tony Stark on the\u00a0Pro-Registration<\/em>\u00a0side -or- with Captain America on the\u00a0Anti-Registration<\/em>\u00a0side, both teams are equally balanced and ready to play.\u00a0 It is up to you (and your dice) to decide who is victorious!<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s preview of the\u00a0Marvel HeroClix: Civil War Storyline OP<\/strong>\u00a0gives you a taste of that balance as we look at team members on each side of the conflict. Two heroes who have to shop the \u2018Big and Tall\u2019 section for new suits,\u00a0Atlas<\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0Goliath<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Co-opted by the government as part of the\u00a0Thunderbolts<\/em>\u00a0team of (semi) reformed super powered criminals,\u00a0Atlas<\/strong>\u00a0represents the\u00a0Pro-Registration<\/em>\u00a0forces supporting\u00a0Iron Man<\/strong>.\u00a0 At 90 points,\u00a0Atlas\u00a0<\/strong>provides a strong backbone for your team.\u00a0 With abilities provided by the\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>\u00a0defense symbol, the\u00a0Giant\u00a0<\/em>damage symbol, and the\u00a0Masters of Evil<\/em>\u00a0team ability, he can keep moving and keep hitting whenever you need to dish out damage. There is a good chance he will always have something close by to hit with the\u00a0Giant Reach\u00a0<\/em>ability. He has movement options at every position on his dial with a starting click of\u00a0Charge<\/em>, two clicks of a special movement power\u00a0Just Like When We Invaded the Mansion\u00a0<\/em>that lets him use\u00a0Flurry\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>, and when using\u00a0Flurry\u00a0<\/em>he can place any hit characters adjacent to him after the action ends, and then he finishes with regular\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>.\u00a0 With some\u00a0Quake<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Close Combat Expert,<\/em>\u00a0on attack and damage respectively, he can be useful for hitting multiple targets or singling out just one.\u00a0 His attack stays at a consistent 10 with a little rise at the end and his damage never drops below 3.\u00a0\u00a0Atlas\u00a0<\/strong>is also sturdy enough to take some heavy hits with\u00a0Impervious<\/em>,\u00a0Invulnerability<\/em>, and\u00a0Toughness\u00a0<\/em>for damage reduction on every click.\u00a0 He also works as a team player with the\u00a0Justice Like Lightning<\/em>\u00a0trait that is also featured on the other\u00a0Thunderbolts<\/em>\u00a0members in this set, which gives him the chance to remove an action token from a friendly character with the\u00a0Thunderbolts<\/em>\u00a0keyword within 4 squares whenever he damages one or more characters with an attack.\u00a0 Now let\u2019s see who he will likely be grappling with on the Marvel HeroClix: Civil War battlefield.<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Matching\u00a0Atlas<\/strong>\u00a0at 90 points,\u00a0Goliath\u00a0<\/strong>sports the\u00a0Indomitable\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Giant Size<\/em>\u00a0abilities for\u00a0Captain America\u2019s<\/strong>Anti-Registration\u00a0<\/em>faction.\u00a0 He also has the\u00a0Defenders<\/em>\u00a0team ability to share his healthy starting 18 defense value with other\u00a0Defenders<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Wild Card<\/em>\u00a0characters.\u00a0 As more of a traditional heavy hitter,\u00a0Goliath\u00a0<\/strong>strides ahead at the opposition with\u00a0Charge<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Super Strength<\/em>, switching over to\u00a0Sidestep\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Close Combat Expert\u00a0<\/em>mid dial.\u00a0 He finishes with higher attack and damage values as a last ditch effort to help his team, with the\u00a0Get Ready for the Shortest Comeback in History<\/em>\u00a0that lets him use\u00a0Charge\u00a0<\/em>without reducing his speed value by half.\u00a0 If\u00a0Goliath\u00a0<\/strong>falls in clix combat just as he did in the comics his trait,\u00a0A Hero Remembered<\/em>\u00a0will trigger and result in a click of healing for the rest of his teammates, and the use of\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>\u00a0if he is KO\u2019d during your opponent\u2019s turn.\u00a0 His defensive line of\u00a0Invincible<\/em>,\u00a0Invulnerability<\/em>, and\u00a0Toughness<\/em>\u00a0should keep you from seeing his KO clicks too early though.<\/p>\n
