Greetings, HeroClix fans! Last week we\u00a0released the\u00a0Marvel HeroClix:\u00a0Uncanny X-Men\u00a0<\/strong>set, so we wanted to take the opportunity to play with some of the figures in the set and put together what we feel is a fun team! And, since we\u2019ve revisited the long requested\u00a0Age of Apocalypse<\/em>, we\u2019re going to center our team with one of the characters from those chase figures!<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

To start off, we have the chase\u00a0Sabretooth and Wild Child<\/strong>! At 130 points, this figure clocks in at 8 clicks of life, and is\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>. He has no special powers, but has two traits that\u00a0more than equal that out. His first is called\u00a0Leashed or Unleashed?<\/em>\u00a0This power states that\u00a0Sabretooth and Wild Child<\/strong>\u00a0begin the game with\u00a0Wild Child<\/strong>\u00a0attached, and can use\u00a0Flurry<\/em>\u00a0while he\u2019s attached. Additionally, at the beginning of your turn, if\u00a0Wild Child<\/strong>\u00a0is within 3 squares of\u00a0Sabretooth and Wild Child<\/strong>, you may reattach him. Of course, you can give\u00a0Sabretooth and Wild Child<\/strong>\u00a0a free action if he hasn\u2019t used\u00a0Flurry<\/em>\u00a0this turn to place an attached\u00a0Wild Child<\/strong>adjacent.\u00a0 We\u2019ll take a look at the individual\u00a0Wild Child<\/strong>\u00a0shortly, but first let\u2019s look at their second trait,\u00a0Healing Factor<\/em>. This traits states that when\u00a0Sabretooth and Wild Child<\/strong>\u00a0clear action tokens, you may heal him of 1 click \u2013 so, while it\u2019s beneficial to push him since he\u2019s\u00a0Indomitable<\/em>, you can take advantage of his trait to heal him up slightly after one action! He also brings the standard powers\u00a0Charge, Sidestep, Blades\/Claws\/Fangs, Toughness, Combat Reflexes, Regeneration, Battle Fury,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Exploit Weakness.<\/em>\u00a0\"Marvel<\/a><\/em>The\u00a0Wild Child<\/strong>\u00a0bystander token is only one click long, but packs a punch, with the standard powers\u00a0Charge, Blades\/Claws\/Fangs, Combat Reflexes,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Exploit Weakness<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 so while that base 1 damage isn\u2019t much to write home about, having a printed 11 attack with\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs\u00a0<\/em>paired with\u00a0Exploit Weakness<\/em>\u00a0is an incredible benefit to have on your team!<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Up next on our\u00a0X-Men\u00a0Age of Apocalypse\u00a0<\/em>team\u00a0<\/em>we have our primary ranged attacker with the rare\u00a0Magneto.\u00a0<\/strong>Featuring a range of 8 squares,\u00a0Magneto<\/strong>\u00a0brings a lot of both support and board control that the team needs. First is his trait,\u00a0Magnetic Shield for My Allies.\u00a0<\/em>This trait states that you can give\u00a0Magneto\u00a0<\/strong>a power action to attach the Magnetic Shield to another friendly character, removing it from anywhere else. That character can now use\u00a0Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>\u00a0as long as it\u2019s attached \u2013 however, when that character takes damage from a ranged attack, or\u00a0Magneto<\/strong>\u00a0is KO\u2019d, remove the Magnetic Shield marker. And for that Magnetic Shield marker,\u00a0Magneto<\/b>\u00a0comes packed with his own ClixFX Base that you can use to represent this marker! Additionally, he has a special power called\u00a0Magnetic Field<\/em>\u00a0that appears on his first 3 clicks of defense that allows him to use both\u00a0Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Toughness!\u00a0<\/em>He also has the standard powers\u00a0Running Shot, Force Blast, Telekinesis, Precision Strike, Willpower, Enhancement,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Ranged Combat Expert<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/a><\/p>\n

Finally, we have the 80-point version of\u00a0Emma Frost<\/strong>. Emma has only one special power, but it\u2019s incredibly beneficial to the team. The power, called\u00a0Teaching the Next Generation<\/em>, states that\u00a0Emma Frost<\/strong>\u00a0can use\u00a0Perplex.\u00a0<\/em>When she uses it, you may use it normally, or instead choose a combat value other than damage, and modify that value on each friendly character that shares a keyword with her within her range, regardless of line of fire! She also has an interesting duality in her dial \u2013 the top end is all about control and team boosting, with\u00a0Mind Control, Super Senses<\/em>, and the special power, while the second half of her dial is far more offensively based, featuring\u00a0Running Shot, Penetrating\/Psychic Blast, Energy Shield\/Deflection<\/em>, and\u00a0Shapechange.<\/em><\/p>\n
