Hello HeroClix Masterminds!<\/strong><\/h1><\/h2><\/div>

After sharing information about events at Origins Game Fair 2026, we got a lot of feedback\u00a0regarding\u00a0the impact of a particular piece, Knull, within the Team Sealed format.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0HeroClix team has decided to implement the following policy:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Any team that opens a Knull during the Team Sealed event should call a judge. The judge will verify the contents of their brick, then the players will receive a random\u00a0mini\u00a0of the same rarity to play with during the event, instead of their Knull. That team will get to keep the Knull figure\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0random\u00a0mini\u00a0for use after the event.<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

The HeroClix team strives for players to have the most fun, especially at events like Origins, and this change\u00a0accomplishes\u00a0that goal.<\/p>\n

The te<\/span>am\u00a0<\/span>underestimated the\u00a0<\/span>impact that Knull\u00a0<\/span>would\u00a0<\/span>have\u00a0<\/span>on head-<\/span>to-head se<\/span>aled play<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Kn<\/span>ull's\u00a0<\/span>presence\u00a0<\/span>could e<\/span>xert too m<\/span>uch influence over\u00a0<\/span>match outcomes,<\/span>\u00a0despite o<\/span>nly 1\u00a0<\/span>of\u00a0<\/span>3 team\u00a0<\/span>members<\/span>\u00a0having t<\/span>he chance\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>play a<\/span>gainst K<\/span>null.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>O<\/span>ur\u00a0<\/span>goa<\/span>l is for\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0community<\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0<\/span>enjoy<\/span>\u00a0a c<\/span>ompetitive<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>envi<\/span>ronment t<\/span>hat can be<\/span>\u00a0fun f<\/span>or\u00a0<\/span>al<\/span>l HeroCl<\/span>ix players<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Whi<\/span>le there might be<\/span>\u00a0factors<\/span>\u00a0that could\u00a0<\/span>mitigate\u00a0<\/span>Knul<\/span>l'<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>pr<\/span>eva<\/span>lence<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0team\u00a0<\/span>does<\/span>\u00a0not belie<\/span>ve they are sufficient to k<\/span>eep him\u00a0<\/span>in the format<\/span>\u00a0when<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>there\u00a0<\/span>is a\u00a0<\/span>re<\/span>asonable\u00a0<\/span>solut<\/span>ion avail<\/span>able.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Moving forward,\u00a0<\/span>additional<\/span>\u00a0care will go into the available boosters and bricks to help promote a fun Team Sealed environment. The HeroClix team has a deep love for sealed play, and we want to make sure that\u00a0<\/span>it continues to improve over time, just like our constructed formats.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
