The following errata\/clarifications\/rulings are <u>effective immediately as of this posting<\/u>. We are also issuing an errata for one additional figure that was not previously identified on the Q3 2020 Watch List announcement. \u00a0Some of these figures are being addressed together due to the similar nature of their changes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ERRATAS ISSUED<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WKMP18 G001 Tri-Sentinel<\/li>\n<li>XTAS G025 Iceman<\/li>\n<li>BWM 017 Black Widow<\/li>\n<li>F4 063 Valeria Von Doom<\/li>\n<li>SVC 058 Venom Groot<\/li>\n<li>SVC 067 Spider-Man 1776 &#8211; *NEW ADDITION*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NO ERRATA ISSUED<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CAAV 054 Captain Marvel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>WKMP18 G001 Tri-Sentinel and XTAS G025 Iceman<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An errata is being issued to both Tri-Sentinel and Iceman to require the Colossal Retaliation attack to have been made in order for the \u201cafter resolutions\u201d effect to trigger.<\/p>\n<p><u>WKMP18 G001 Tri-Sentinel<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current: <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>COLOSSAL RETALIATION: WHEN NOTHING LESS THAN GENOCIDE WILL DO<\/strong>: FREE: If no other Colossal Retaliation power has been activated this turn, choose an opposing character that attacked Tri-Sentinel or damaged a friendly character since your last turn. After resolutions, he can immediately use Incapacitate at no cost, but may target smaller characters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Revision:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>COLOSSAL RETALIATION: GLACIER FISTS:<\/strong> FREE: If no friendly character has been placed this turn, choose an opposing character that attacked Iceman or damaged a friendly character since your last turn. Place Iceman such that he can make a close attack targeting the chosen character then do so. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">If he did<\/span>, after resolutions he can immediately use Incapacitate at no cost, but may target smaller characters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Explanation<\/strong>: These changes aren\u2019t due to the inherent power of the effect themselves, but due to an unintended rules interaction. These \u201cafter resolutions\u201d effects were intended to be tied to the use of these Colossal Retaliation powers. As is, the wording allowed for players to declare the FREE action without a legal target and allow the attack to \u201cfizzle\u201d but still trigger the after resolutions effect. We hope that players understand that we do not intend to limit these figures but adjust them to play as they were intended.<\/p>\n<p><u><br \/>\n<strong>CAAV 054 Captain Marvel<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>No changes. While CAAV 054 Captain Marvel is a strong figure, we do not feel that she is problematic or does anything that is unhealthy for the game.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>BWM 017 Black Widow<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An errata is being issued to make Black Widow\u2019s ESPIONAGE: PATIENCE trait an activated FREE action with a Tradecraft token cost instead of a passive effect.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ESPIONAGE: PATIENCE&#8230;:<\/strong> If Black Widow is on a themed team or your starting force has two other characters from [Black Widow Movie set symbol], standard friendly characters can&#8217;t have their attack rolls of 10 or more rerolled, and opposing characters targeting those characters can&#8217;t have their attack rolls of 4 or less rerolled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Errata:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ESPIONAGE: PATIENCE\u2026<\/strong>:<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">FREE<\/span>: If Black Widow is on a themed team or your starting force has two other characters from [Black Widow Movie set symbol], <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">you may remove 2 Tradecraft tokens and if you did, while Black Widow is on the map<\/span> standard friendly characters can\u2019t have their attack rolls of 10 or more rerolled, and opposing characters targeting those characters can\u2019t have their attack rolls of 4 or less rerolled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Explanation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Black Widow fits on so many viable themed teams that the \u201ccost\u201d of ESPIONAGE: PATIENCE requiring a themed team is really nominal in comparison to its impact on the game. As such, we felt this trait needed to be given an additional \u201ccost\u201d of Tradecraft tokens. Even with the new cost, Black Widow will have many tricks that she can pull out during the game\u2026 just now players will have to be more strategic\/selective in how they use her and her Tradecraft tokens.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>F4 064 Valeria Von Doom and SVAC 058 Venom Groot<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An errata is being issued to both Valeria Von Doom and Venom Groot to limit the offensive use of their abilities.<\/p>\n<p><u>F4 064 Valeria Von Doom:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HUNTING ANOMALIES FROM OTHER WORLDS<\/strong>: FREE: Roll a d6 and place Valeria Von Doom up to that many squares away. \/\/ When an opposing character is placed within 4 squares and line of fire, after resolutions deal them 1 penetrating damage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Errata:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HUNTING ANOMALIES FROM OTHER WORLDS<\/strong>: FREE: Roll a d6 and place Valeria Von Doom up to that many squares away. \/\/ <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">During your opponent&#8217;s turn<\/span>, when an opposing character is placed within 4 squares and line of fire, after resolutions deal them 1 penetrating damage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Explanation<\/strong>: While this power was intended to be an effect that would punish\/discourage opponent\u2019s placing characters within 4 squares of Valeria, it was not intended to be a power that could be used to deal massive damage when paired with a character that can generate knock back Because the technical steps of knockback considers each square as a separate placement, as written Valeria would deal 1 damage per square a character was knocked back (within 4). This was an unintended exploit of this effect that needed to be corrected. We felt the best solution here that still preserved the powers original defensive function\/intent was to limit this to only triggering on your opponent\u2019s turn (so it can\u2019t be used offensively).<\/p>\n<p><u>SVC 058 Venom Groot<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>FLYTRAPS AND VINE SNARES<\/strong>: When an opposing character is placed within 4 squares of Venom Groot, choose one: Modify that character&#8217;s attack -2 this turn \u2013or\u2013 after resolutions, deal that character 1 penetrating damage. If that character occupies printed hindering terrain, choose both.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Errata:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>FLYTRAPS AND VINE SNARES<\/strong>: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Once during your opponent&#8217;s turn for all characters with this trait<\/span>, when an opposing character is placed within 4 squares of Venom Groot, choose one: Modify that character&#8217;s attack -2 this turn \u2013or\u2013 after resolutions, deal that character 1 penetrating damage. If that character occupies printed hindering terrain, choose both.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Explanation<\/strong>: Venom Groot has a similar effect to Valeria Von Doom that we want to limit to only triggering during an opponent\u2019s turn to prevent it being used as an offensive\/damage-dealing effect when coupled with KNOCKBACK. However, Venom Groot has one additional wrinkle in that he is not UNIQUE (unlike Valeria) and at 35pts there is potential to field multiples of him to stack this effect to even further punish an opponent\u2019s placement. So, for his effect we are adding \u201cOnce during your opponent&#8217;s turn for all character\u2019s with this trait\u201d to ensure that this effect only triggers once regardless of how many Venom Groots are being played on a team.<\/p>\n<p><u>SVC 067 Spider-Man 1776<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Current:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>THE GENERAL THAT FOUNDED A NATION:<\/strong> Leadership, Super Senses. \/\/ Opposing forces have Action Total -1 (minimum 2). \/\/ Opposing characters within 6 squares can&#8217;t use Leadership or Autonomous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Errata:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>THE GENERAL THAT FOUNDED A NATION:<\/strong> Leadership, Super Senses. \/\/ <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">When Spider-Man 1776 hits, until your next turn<\/span> opposing forces have Action Total -1 (minimum 2). \/\/ Opposing characters within 6 squares can&#8217;t use Leadership or Autonomous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Explanation<\/strong>: Spider-Man 1776\u2019s action total limiting has proven to have too much of chilling effect on the viability of certain team builds and strategies\u2026 especially as a passive, map-wide effect. We felt that it was a necessary to have this effect trigger on Spider-Man 1776 hitting with an attack and limiting the effect to the opponent\u2019s next turn in order to reign in his effect on the meta-game. You can still disrupt your opponents\u2019 well-laid plans, but now\u2026 like any good General\u2026 Spider-Man 1776 has to lead his troops from the front lines.<\/p>\n<p>While we strive to avoid making changes to figures after they have been released if possible, our ultimate goal is to have a fun, friendly, and healthy game paired with a positive gameplay experience for both our casual and tournament players. We do reserve the right to revisit and make changes to any game elements highlighted in previous Watch Lists, especially as new game elements are released.
