It\u2019s getting to be that time of year again \u2013 with our big tournaments, including the May\u00a0WKO\u2019s<\/a>,\u00a0National<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0World<\/a>\u00a0Championships, right around the corner, it\u2019s time to take a look at some of the exciting\u00a0DC Comics HeroClix: 2016 Convention Exclusives<\/strong>\u00a0we have coming out! Right now, we\u2019re going to take a gander at two of the offerings from the fine folks at\u00a0DC Comics!<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Up first, we revisit the\u00a0Batman Classic TV Series<\/strong>\u00a0set! Just in time for the 50th\u00a0anniversary of the show, we have\u00a0Batman!\u00a0<\/strong>This, of course, is no ordinary\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 this is\u00a0Adam West Batman<\/strong>\u00a0hanging ten on a killer surfboard! Coming in at 50 points,\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0has two great traits \u2013 first is\u00a0Wipeout!<\/em>, which states that when\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0is KO\u2019d, you may place the Surfboard light object as specified on the back of his character card into the square that\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0last occupied. Now, one of the great things about this figure is that it can also be played as a special Surfboard light object for 1 point during force construction, by removing the\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0figure from the sculpt. If you do so, friendly characters can equip the object to gain\u00a0Improved Movement<\/em>\u00a0for Water Terrain and a +3 speed in water!\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0also brings the standard combat powers\u00a0Charge, Combat Reflexes, Willpower,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Close Combat Expert<\/em>\u00a0to the fight, as well as the special power\u00a0Get the Bat Shark-Repellant Spray!<\/em>\u00a0This power allows\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0to modify his attack and damage values by +1 when attacking a character with the Dolphin movement symbol.<\/p>\n I did mention that there were two traits for\u00a0Batman<\/strong>, and the second is called\u00a0Holy Sardine!\u00a0<\/em>This trait states that, when building your force, you may choose to have\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0instead cost 30 points. If you do, at the beginning of the game, your opponent adds to their starting area the figure that comes with\u00a0Batman<\/strong>\u00a0to it\u2019s force that doesn\u2019t get scored if defeated \u2013 that\u2019s right, it\u2019s a\u00a0Shark!\u00a0<\/strong>The\u00a0Shark<\/strong>\u00a0is a 30-point piece on its own, and possesses two standard powers \u2013\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Toughness.<\/em>\u00a0Of course, it also has a trait called\u00a0Underwater Predator,\u00a0<\/em>which states that when the\u00a0Shark<\/strong>\u00a0occupies water terrain, it can use\u00a0Charge<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Exploit Weakness<\/em>, while modifying its speed value by +3! It\u2019s fairly no frills, but what more could you want? It\u2019s a\u00a0Shark!<\/strong><\/p>\n Next we\u2019re going to look at a Convention Exclusive LE Prize figure, one that brings another figure from the\u00a0DC Comics<\/em>\u00a0Kingdom Come<\/em>\u00a0storyline into the modern age. Playable at either 120 points or 25 points,\u00a0Hawkman<\/strong>\u00a0cuts an imposing shadow against your opponent\u2019s force! He possesses two traits, with the first being\u00a0Isolated from this Violent World,\u00a0<\/em>which only applies when played at his 25-point value. This trait states that\u00a0Hawkman<\/strong>\u00a0begins the game placed at least 6 squares from any starting area, and not adjacent to another character. He also cannot be moved or placed while on his starting click. With that, though \u2013 if he is the only character on your force, or an opposing character critical hits another friendly character, you may turn him to click #6, and he can\u2019t be healed.<\/p>\n Hawkman<\/strong>\u00a0also possesses the trait\u00a0We Will Make Things Right Again<\/em>, which applies to his 120-point dial. This trait states that\u00a0Hawkman\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>combat values can\u2019t be modified, except by characters with the\u00a0Kingdom Come<\/em>\u00a0team ability. Additionally, his powers and abilities can\u2019t be countered, except by characters with the\u00a0Kingdom Come<\/em>\u00a0team ability! With those two traits, he also has the standard powers\u00a0Charge, Sidestep, Super Strength, Blades\/Claws\/Fangs, Invincible, Invulnerability, Combat Reflexes,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Battle Fury<\/em>. Additionally, he also has a special power called\u00a0Savior or Environmental Terrorist?<\/em>\u00a0that appears on the damage of his 25 point click. This power states that\u00a0Hawkman<\/strong>\u00a0can use\u00a0Empower.\u00a0<\/em>Additionally, when an opposing character within 6 squares makes an attack while occupying printed hindering terrain, or uses\u00a0Outwit<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Perplex<\/em>\u00a0while occupying printed hindering terrain, after actions resolve, deal that character 2 penetrating damage!<\/p>\n The\u00a0DC Comics: Surfing Batman with Shark Convention Exclusive\u00a0<\/strong>will be\u00a0available for purchase, for the first time, at the\u00a0Mexican<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Italian<\/a>\u00a0National Championships this upcoming weekend. \u00a0It will be available in the U.S. at the upcoming\u00a0May 2016 WKO<\/a>\u00a0events for $15.00, while supplies last!<\/p>\n The\u00a0DC Comics:\u00a0Hawkman\u00a0Convention Exclusive\u00a0<\/strong>will be\u00a0a\u00a0prize\u00a0at the\u00a0Mexican<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Italian<\/a>\u00a0National Championships. \u00a0It will also be available as a prize to win at\u00a0the U.S. at the upcoming\u00a0May 2016 WKO<\/a>\u00a0events!<\/p>\n There you have it!
