Greetings HeroClix Fans!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for our first\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix<\/strong>\u00a0Team Building exercise, featuring\u00a0characters from the recently released\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/strong>\u00a0HeroClix set!\u00a0 Today\u2019s 300-point force features two members of the TMNT with a pair of allies.\u00a0 First up, let\u2019s bring in\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0from the 2012 animated series!<\/p>\n

\"Teenage<\/a><\/p>\n

Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0comes in at 60 points and has the standard movement, attack, defense and damage symbols.\u00a0 His dial is highlighted by an Improved Movement ability, a trait, and a pair of special powers.\u00a0\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u2019s Improved Movement ability,\u00a0Most Acrobatic of the Turtles<\/em>, lets him ignore elevated and hindering terrain when he moves.\u00a0 His trait,\u00a0Most Unpredictable of the Turtles<\/em>, prevents opposing characters from using\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0to reroll attacks made by or targeting\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>.\u00a0 As for\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u2019s special powers,\u00a0Spin Attack<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Most Endurance of the Turtles<\/em>\u00a0are found in his attack and defense slots, respectively.\u00a0\u00a0Spin Attack<\/em>\u00a0lets\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0use\u00a0Quake<\/em>, and when he does, hit characters are given an action token after actions resolve.\u00a0\u00a0Most Endurance of the Turtles<\/em>\u00a0lets\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0use\u00a0Combat Reflexes<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Willpower<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Helping out\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0is the temperamental mutant alligator with a fierce hatred of the Kraang,\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>!\u00a0\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>\u00a0has a point value of 80 and has the standard attack, defense and damage symbols, along with the Swimmer speed symbol.\u00a0\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>\u2019s biggest assist to\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0comes from his trait,\u00a0Don\u2019t You Hurt Michelangelo!<\/em>, which modifies their attack values by +1 when they\u2019re adjacent to one another.\u00a0 Keeping\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>\u00a0close to\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0to gain that +1 attack bonus shouldn\u2019t be too difficult since the former has\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Charge<\/em>\u00a0to move around as needed.\u00a0\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>\u00a0also works with\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>\u2019s lone special power,\u00a0Death Roll<\/em>, which lets him spend a power action to move up to three squares using Improved Movement: Ignores Characters.\u00a0\u00a0Death Roll<\/em>\u00a0then lets\u00a0Leatherhead<\/em>\u00a0make a close attack that targets each opposing character in or adjacent to those squares.\u00a0 Hit characters are dealt 2 damage and knocked back 2 squares.\u00a0 Potentially,\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>\u00a0could start adjacent to\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0then move and attack using\u00a0Death Roll<\/em>.\u00a0 Characters\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>\u00a0hits could then potentially be knocked back to\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0for a follow-up attack.<\/p>\n

\"Teenage<\/a><\/p>\n

The third member of our force is\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>, who comes in at 60 points and has the standard movement, attack, defense and damage symbols. \u00a0Early in a match,\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0can help\u00a0Leatherhead<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\u00a0by modifying friendly or opposing combat values through\u00a0Perplex<\/em>, then later contributes by healing his teammates with\u00a0Support<\/em>\u00a0and sharing his high defense values with\u00a0Defend<\/em>.\u00a0 When it comes to offense,\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0adds to the fight with his special power\u00a0My Bo\u2026 Converts to a Naginata<\/em>, which lets him hit opponents with close attacks up to three squares away as if they were adjacent.\u00a0 Additionally,\u00a0My Bo\u2026 Converts to a Naginata<\/em>\u00a0lets\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0use\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>\u00a0to deal up to six clicks of damage, but only if he\u2019s attacking a non-adjacent character.<\/p>\n

\"TMNT1<\/a><\/p>\n

Finally, our\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/strong>\u00a0team building force is complete with the addition of\u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>!\u00a0 At 100 points,\u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>\u00a0is the highest-pointed character on our force and he has the standard attack and damage symbols.\u00a0 He can also shoot two targets up to six squares away. \u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>\u00a0is also a flier and has the Indomitable defense symbol so don\u2019t worry about pushing damage.\u00a0\u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>\u2019s dial is filled with standard powers but his best contribution on this force requires that you keep\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0nearby to use\u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0I Built Him, and I Have the Remote<\/em>\u00a0trait. \u00a0At the beginning of your turn, you may remove an action token from\u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>\u00a0and give an action token to an adjacent friendly character named\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>.\u00a0 With the right setup,\u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>\u00a0can act on consecutive turns as long as\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0is adjacent at the beginning of your turns so he can take action tokens.\u00a0 Keeping\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0adjacent shouldn\u2019t be difficult as\u00a0Metalhead<\/strong>\u00a0has\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Running Shot<\/em>\u00a0in his speed slot and can also use the Carry ability to tote\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u00a0around.<\/p>\n

\"Teenage<\/a><\/p>\n

Ideally, you\u2019ll want to split your force into two pairings:\u00a0\u00a0Michelangelo<\/strong>\/Leatherhead<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\/Metalhead<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Donatello<\/strong>\u2019s late-dial\u00a0Support<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Defend<\/em>\u00a0powers make him a character you\u2019ll want to keep away from the front line of battle.\u00a0 That shouldn\u2019t be an issue, thanks to his\u00a0My Bo\u2026 Converts to a Naginata<\/em>\u00a0special power which lets him make close attacks to opponents up to three squares away.<\/p>\n

In terms of themed play, all four characters share the TMNT Ally keyword.\u00a0 As a bonus, these four take their inspiration from the 2012 Nickelodeon animated series.<\/p>\n
