I hope you\u2019re ready because we\u2019ve got another exciting preview from the upcoming\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix\u00a0<\/strong>set! It\u2019s\u2026 some guy who likes rats? Oh the\u00a0Rat King!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"TMNT1<\/a><\/p>\n

From the swamps comes a classic villain from the original Mirage Comics universe,\u00a0Rat King.\u00a0<\/strong>At 65 points, and 7 clicks of life \u2013 what he lacks in offensive firepower he more than makes up for in special powers and traits. First,\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0possesses\u00a0Improved Movement: Ignores Hindering Terrain<\/em>, as well as two traits. The first, called\u00a0All Fear Me\u2026 All Except the Rats,<\/em>\u00a0states that at the beginning of your turn, if\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0occupies or is adjacent to hindering terrain, place adjacent a\u00a0Giant Rat<\/strong>\u00a0Bystander if there are less than 4 on the map.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Giant Rat\u00a0<\/strong>Bystander Token deserves a closer look as well. He only has one standard power with\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>, but his special power on Damage really lends itself well to the swarm-like nature of what the rat spawning\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0can do on the right map. The special power, called\u00a0Swarm of Rats,\u00a0<\/em>states that if\u00a0Giant Rat<\/strong>\u00a0is adjacent to one or more friendly bystander with the same name, modify its damage value by +1. If it\u2019s adjacent to two or more of them, also modify it\u2019s attack value by +1!<\/p>\n

Switching gears back to\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>, his second trait is called\u00a0Strange Spectral Guide,\u00a0<\/em>that says when\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0is KO\u2019d, you may equip him to a friendly character with the\u00a0Animal<\/em>\u00a0keyword. The equipped character can use\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 and, if the equipped character is named\u00a0Splinter<\/strong>, he can use\u00a0Regeneration!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

For standard powers,\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0possesses\u00a0Stealth, Super Senses, Toughness, Regeneration, Exploit Weakness,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>. To go along with that, he also has a special power called\u00a0Rat Trap<\/em>\u00a0that appears on his Attack. This power states that you may give\u00a0Rat King<\/strong>\u00a0a power action once per game, and choose an opposing character within 4 squares and line of fire. Once you do, you may place up to 4\u00a0Giant Rat<\/strong>\u00a0bystanders adjacent to that character!<\/p>\n
