Welcome to another preview from our highly anticipated\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/strong>\u00a0set! \u00a0For today\u2019s preview, we bring you the turtles\u2019 field leader. \u00a0Please put down that slice of pizza for a moment and get serious as we present to you the katana-wielding\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>!\u00a0 As with the other three turtles, there are two versions of\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0in this set: \u00a0first up, let\u2019s draw inspiration from the 1984 Mirage Comics series!<\/p>\n

\"Teenage<\/a><\/p>\n

As the turtles\u2019 leader in battle,\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0is a close attacker with an appropriate mix of standard powers and an aggressive set of combat values.\u00a0 His power mix includes a special power,\u00a0Katana<\/em>, which lets him use\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>.\u00a0 Additionally, if\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0misses a close attack he can use\u00a0Sidestep<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0Katana<\/em>\u00a0is paired with\u00a0Charge<\/em>\u00a0on his dial, and both powers work well together:\u00a0 Use\u00a0Charge<\/em>\u00a0to take the fight to the enemy, then attack using\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Like the other 1984 comics versions of the turtles,\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0has the\u00a0Fighting through the Swarms<\/em>\u00a0trait that allows him to be placed in any square adjacent to an opposing character he hits.\u00a0 When used with the\u00a0Charge<\/em>\/Katana<\/em>\u00a0combo we mentioned earlier,\u00a0Fighting through the Swarms<\/em>\u00a0can help\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0by having him pop up where your opponent would least expect him.<\/p>\n

Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0has a point value of 50 and makes a great choice as a mobile attacker with high damage potential on the entire length of his dial.\u00a0 Should you choose to include\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0on a themed team, he has the\u00a0Animal<\/em>,\u00a0Martial Artist<\/em>, TMNT, and TMNT Ally keywords.\u00a0 At only 50 points, he\u00a0is inexpensive enough for you to add other teammates on your force according to your needs.<\/p>\n

Our take on\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0from the 2012 Nickelodeon animated series has plenty of synergy throughout his dial.\u00a0 This version\u00a0comes in at 60 points and starts with the popular combination of\u00a0Charge<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>.\u00a0 Like his Mirage comics counterpart,\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0has the\u00a0Animal<\/em>,\u00a0Martial Artist<\/em>, TMNT, and TMNT Ally keywords to aid you when including him on a themed team.<\/p>\n

\"Teenage<\/a><\/p>\n

Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0has special powers in his defense, damage and attack slots. \u00a0His defensive special power,\u00a0Analyze and Counter Fighting Styles<\/em>, offers two layers of protection by letting him use\u00a0Super Senses<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Toughness<\/em>.\u00a0 His damage special power,\u00a0Leader of the Turtles<\/em>, lets him use\u00a0Leadership<\/em>\u00a0with the potential to remove an action token from each adjacent friendly character with the TMNT keyword.\u00a0 It\u2019s a great special power for those times when you\u2019re playing all four turtles in close formation.\u00a0 Finally, it just wouldn\u2019t be\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u2019s style to fight with anything other than his twin katanas \u2013 which is also the name of his attack special power.\u00a0\u00a0Twin Katanas<\/em>\u00a0lets\u00a0him use\u00a0Blades\/Claws\/Fangs<\/em>\u00a0and use\u00a0Probability Control<\/em>\u00a0when he makes a close attack<\/p>\n

Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0has consistent base damage values, and the rest of his numbers are somewhat steady with a spike in his attack stats.\u00a0 Those numbers, along with his power layout, make it easy to see why\u00a0Leonardo<\/strong>\u00a0is the leader of the turtles.<\/p>\n
