Greetings HeroClix Fans,
Welcome to another exciting preview from the upcoming Marvel HeroClix: Deadpool & X-Force set! Today, we’re taking a deep dive and looking in at everyone’s favorite armored undersea merc, Stingray!

There are two versions of Stingray in this set, both of which have identical dials and standard power sets. Each have six clicks of life, each have a range of four squares with two targets, and each come in at 80 points for your build. Additionally, both feature the trait If We’re Going on an Aquatic Mission, We’ll Need a Deep-Pool. This trait states that Stingray modifies his defensive values by +2 when occupying water terrain. As mentioned, they also share identical power sets, featuring Running Shot, Sidestep, Energy Explosion, Toughness, and Outwit.

Where they differ is in their second traits and keywords. The 023a version of Stingray can be played on Heroes for Hire, Initiative, Armor, Scientist, and Spy themed teams, and features the trait Mercs for Money. This trait says that each time another friendly character with the Heroes for Hire keyword KO’s an opposing character, heal Stingray of 1 click. Great staying power for a secondary or tertiary attacker! The 023b version of the character adds only one keyword – Deadpool Corps – and swaps out the previous trait for I’m the Deadpool…Brand Mercenary You Hired. This trait states that once per action for all characters with this trait, when another friendly character with the Deadpool Corps keyword would be KO’d, you may instead turn that character to its last non-KO click, then heal it of 3 clicks. If you do, KO one friendly character with this trait.
So there you have it, HeroClix fans! We hope you’ve enjoyed this look at Stingray, and will come back soon for more exciting previews from the Marvel HeroClix: Deadpool & X-Force set!
