Greetings HeroClix Fans!

Welcome back to your Clix fix as we preview more exciting figures for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix:  Shredder’s Return set!  This third Gravity Feed set adds even more characters from the 32-years of TMNT history, based on both the comics and animated tv series.  Today we have a visitor from an alternate universe, Master Sliver!

TMNT HeroClix: Shredder's Return - Sliver

In a twisted reality where the famous foursome of Turtles have amazing superpowers, their sensei Splinter is also twisted – an evil master named Sliver!

The first thing we notice on Sliver is his trait, Cruel Teachings, which allows any friendly character (including Sliver himself) to heal 1 click when it KO’s an opposing character or takes 2 or more penetrating damage. This trait is useful for any friendly figure anywhere on the map, but the rest of Sliver’s dial begs for him to get in the middle of the fight anyway at his 130-point cost.  A point cost that makes him a great headliner for a TMNT Villain or Animal keyword themed team.

Sliver’s top click is very deadly in close combat, featuring Sidestep, Blades/Claws/Fangs (with a high 11 Attack), Toughness and Exploit Weakness. Sliver’s first four clicks feature the same powers on Speed, Attack and Damage, but his Defense is split evenly by starting with Toughness before switching to Combat Reflexes.

While the first four clicks of Sliver’s dial are that of a close combat machine, the last four clicks display the rodent sensei as a super-powered monstrosity. The second half of Sliver’s dial features the same four powers on every click: Outwit, Impervious, Energy Explosion (well-used with his range of 5), and the special power, I Have Your Powers Combined. This special speed power lets Sliver use Plasticity and Sidestep while also possessing the wing symbol and Giant size symbol.

Sliver is sure to do plenty of damage top-dial if you can get him into the fray before he gets hit himself, but no matter what, the back-half of his dial is a force to be reckoned with. His combat values on the last 4 clicks are steady on Defense and Damage with 17 and 4 respectively, and his Attack Value climbs to 12 on his last fearsome click.

That wraps it up for today.  Stay tuned for our next preview for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix:  Shredder’s Return set.  Remember, always tip the delivery driver well if they get there ahead of schedule.
