In Marvel Dice Masters: Age of Ultron<\/strong> the super rare portion of the set includes exciting characters from the Marvel Zombies alternate universe. The four Zombiverse characters that are available are Gladiator, Electro, Red Skull, and Magneto. This is the only set to currently offer zombie versions of Marvel characters. Players are sure to enjoy this glimpse into an alternate universe in a Gravity Feed release. Just like other character cards that have affiliations within a set (Avengers, X-Men, Hydra, Guardians of the Galaxy, or Shield) these four characters are affiliated with Marvel Zombies. These cards can work individually or cohesively and have the special Zombie ability \u201cWhen fielded, KO all non-Zombie (Gladiator, Electro, Red Skull, or Magneto depending on which card is chosen) that are in the field.\u201d This is a really cool way to add an alternate universe within Marvel into your games and effectively have the chance to cancel (or cannibalize!) all regular versions of these characters waiting in the field. Your opponents who favor Magneto, Gladiator, Electro, or Red Skull in combat won\u2019t know what hit them when you break out your Zombie army!<\/p>\n<\/div>

Magneto: Magnetic Monster<\/strong><\/h2><\/span>

Magneto is an important character in the Marvel Universe and Marvel Zombies. There are many versions and a few powerful abilities on his cards in Dice Masters. The zombie version Magneto: Magnetic Monster<\/strong> not only has the ability to KO all non-Zombie versions of Magneto from the field but also has the unique ability which reads \u201cWhile active, opposing characters with Purchase Cost 3 or lower lose their abilities. Professor X can\u2019t be fielded.\u201d<\/em> This set and past sets have many heroes and villains with a cost of 3 or lower so this ability by itself would be highly sought after. Professor X has multiple versions and awesome abilities in his own right, so what a great way to have these \u201cold friends\u201d face each other once again.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Gladiator: Intergalactic Terror<\/strong><\/h2><\/span>

Gladiator: Intergalactic Terror<\/strong> reads \u201cWhile active, Gladiator gets +2A and +2D for each of your active MASK characters. Also, all active Phoenix dice lose their abilities.\u201d<\/em> Gladiator\u2019s ability can only make him stronger if you happen to field the right team around him. With a cost of 5 and high attack numbers on his corresponding dice already, this character is a major threat with a lot of moving pieces.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Electro: Cooked Meat<\/strong><\/h2><\/span>

Electro: Cooked Meat<\/strong> reads \u201cWhen fielded, deal 2 damage to both players. If opponent has an active Spider-Man, you take no damage from this effect..\u201d<\/em> This card has an interesting push-your-luck element to it and also fits nicely in the set. This character from a destructive time in Marvel\u2019s alternate history could have an exciting but destructive end game conclusion depending on your game and timing!<\/p>\n<\/div>

Red Skull: Undying Evil<\/strong><\/h2><\/span>

Red Skull: Undying Evil<\/strong> reads \u201cWhile active, opponent can\u2019t attack with more than 1 Sidekick per turn. Captain America can\u2019t attack.\u201d<\/em> This ability is very defensive and can wreck the day of an opponent who loves to use Sidekicks.<\/p>\n<\/div>

These secondary abilities are all dripping with theme and truly capture the chaotic nature of the Marvel Zombies Universe. The energy cost to purchase these dice in a game is scaled nicely and is consistent with other characters in the set. They are also smartly divided amongst the four energy types (Shield, Mask, Bolt, and Fist energy). I absolutely love the fact that these characters can single out possible nemeses and punish an opponent for adding such heroes or villains to their team. Marvel Zombies characters are flat out fun to include in Dice Masters games and add some spice to an already fantastic experience.<\/p>\n
