Last week, at the GAMA Trade Show, WizKids discussed the ongoing growth process that the WizKids Event System (WES) has undertaken. Over the past few months, players, retailers, and distributors have seen frequent updates, making the WES more than just a tool for organized play events. WES users have earned achievements, won random rewards, and found information about their local communities, all while the system has continued to grow and develop. Recognizing the WES is no longer just an event system, but rather an all encompassing and evolving information center of WizKids products and events, WizKids announced today that they will be appropriately renaming the site, WizKids Info Network (WIN).

The WIN will continue to support organized play by offering players the ability to easily find local events, collect leaderboard points, and connect with other players and stores. Retailers will still be able to schedule and report events, share activity with followers, and stay on top of upcoming WizKids product releases. With that said, what else is new?

The WIN will not only have a new name and logo; players will now be able to receive product support and replacements, be notified of ongoing rules information and revisions, and find more product and store information. Retailers will have access to data about their events and purchase history, receive increased support on distribution issues, and be able to track their progress and performance. These new and improved features will be rolling out over the next few months to support the initiative.

The WIN will be beneficial to players and retailers while providing more visibility for WizKids. The new changes to the site will allow them to engage more directly with both their distribution network and the player community.  It will track trends to help gauge activity for product purchasing and event performance. The increased visibility will encourage positive behavior for all supporters through a variety of rewards while discouraging negative practices, including conduct violations.

Don’t worry! There’s no need to sign up for new accounts on the WIN. All WES data will stay the same on the WIN.
